I destroyed the factory led that was in this headlight when I took it apart.
I think that it used a 1 watt luxeon star. I think that it used a side emitter but I am not sure.
What would be the best replacement led for this light?
Does anyone have any suggestion on a replacement led that will be brighter.
Maybe a S bin 1 watt luxeon or a cree led?
Does anyone know how many miliamps this light give the stock led. That would help in finding the best replacement led. Will the stock reflector work with regular luxeon star that is not side emitter. I plan on just epoxying the led to the metal bulb looking piece that the stock one came off because I lost the ring that screwed down on top of it to hold it in place.
What type of epoxy or thermal compound would permenantly glue it in place?
Where could I get it from.
Sorry for all of the questions but I am dumb when it comes to electronics etc.
If necessary I could probably do small amount of fabrication to make cree work?

you can buy the everled side emitting version but that will be QUITE expensive.

you will need to buy a side emitting replacement as the 3 holes in the reflector, isn't too good a beam with a high dome.

Haven't seen any new posts here in awhile. Just wondering if anyone has done a Yukon HL Cree mod in the last six months, and if so, what the results were....

?
