I think I missed something here, I can't find the details.

Is there a driver?

What current does the emitter see?

Sorry for all the questions, it does look like a very nice kit, and I have a 1AA miniminimag sitting here crying out for something like this.

Thanks download I got mine in the mail 10minutes ago and just installed one kit.

Immediate impression was very nice quality and great packing case.

The drop-in appears to be stainless, too heavy to be Aluminum.

I had a slight problem fitting the white plastic collar into the minimag but its an old one and tube diameter can vary. I had to shake a AA battery in the tube to hammer it in all the way to the top.
This could be a problem as I know I can't get the ring out (without sawing off the top of the minimag tube), maybe the manufacturer should include Extra Plastic Rings in future kits in case people want to change it into a new minimag

The drop-in slid in easy. Retaining ring went on smooth and the tool is brilliant to hold it in place.
Lens and reflector centered in the head perfect and the emitter lined up in the center of the reflector.

The beam does not have the common hot spot but resembles an slightly defocused aspheric, its a smooth round spot without a center point.
I'll take some shots tonight and post them later.

Mine also arrived today, and I'm also very impressed with the quality, and ease of installation. I'm a bit of a klutz mechanically, but I not only breezed through the installation, but also moved it from the first host to a second, with no trouble at all.

I'm also very pleased the build works and focuses almost perfectly in H22A's MiniMag TurboHead with its McR-27L reflector. Gives a nice pinpoint hotspot.

Great product, Charles! I'm interested in more, if you can get them with a warmer emitter.

:thanks:

Thanks for you interest.
Next run will use R5 1B and try to find R5 3C.
Hope you will like it.

Do you want to push it a little harder like 500mA?

nein166, it is Nickel Plated Brass.
:thanks:
