I can't decide which one to buy???
My budget is up to $250

I am wanting a big bright thrower.
Here is what I was thinking after weeks of watching videos about them.

Thrunight Catapult V3
Olight M3X
Fenix TK60
Fenix TK41
Fenix TK70

My problem is I like the TK60 runtime but like the size of the other three. The TK41 is decent sized like a Maglite with good runtimes but the Thrunite Catapult V3 and Olight seem to be better at throw?
What would you guys recommend?
Which one is the brightest?

I also really like the Thrunite Scorpion with the Turbo Head. I know it's not really a thrower but it throws far enough and has very bright spill. I liked Selfbuilt's review..

Should I just save a little more and buy the Fenix TK70 instead? That thing looks insanely Bright like the SR91 but cheaper. Same lumen rating.?

Please help me decide??

I have the same problem plus Olight SR51.
After searching the web I've ordered lights by throw.

0. Olight SR51 (no reviews, just spec)
1. Olight M3X
2. Thrunight Catapult V3 (so tough)
3. Fenix TK60, Fenix TK41

TK70 is too big for me

Yes the TK70 looks huge.
I really like the Catapult V3 and had the V2 SST-50 but want to try something new.. I might end up buying the TK60 and a Scorpion V2. I really don't know.???

Do you know which has the best throw?
To me it looks like the Catapult V3 and M3x. The catapult Is a Tougher light but the TK60 looks pretty darn tough to.. Almost bat like.. LOL.
The TK41 looks like the best balanced between throw with good levels, Carrying around and runtimes.?

HOW ABOUT THE Scorpion V2 w/turbo Head?
It looks like a winner for the medium sized lights with great throw. Anyone have input on that light?

Anyone please help.

Scorpion is in different "weight" even with turbo head

Marshal from Going Gear made comparison of lights and it seems m3x slightly better in throw than catapult v3
You can find his videos at Youtube
I like that m3x and catapult could be used in short configuration but the second one retains only 60% output

TK41 and TK60 are almost the same except battery size and runtime

Thanks for the video info.

I put an order in at Battery Junction for :
1) Thrunite Scorpion V2 XM-L
2) Thrunite Scorpion V2 Turbo Head
I wanted the Head and It seems Battery Junction is the only place I know that has it.
$162 :faint:
Now all I need is a large thrower. After watching those Videos I like the TK60 and M3X the best. Size and weight is not an issue so I might go for the TK60 to Have that extra Run time.

I received my Scorpion V2 with the Turbo Head last night and compared it to my Fenix TK25 on max and they are both pretty well matched. Of course, the Fenix costs considerably less and has twice the battery power.

I am using my Scorpion V2 Turbo for a carbine weapon mount for night hog hunting and the Fenix TK35 for a hand held torch, together there will not be much that will get away within 250 yards!!

Here is my rifle with the Olight M-20 that I am upgrading to the XM-L emitter head. The Olight is a great weapon light too.

Thanks for the input. Seems like I made a good choice if it compares to the TK35. I watched videos for hours trying to decide and the Scorpion was my final decision.
Now for Bigger throwing lights I am watching videos again and I Narrowed it down to 4 lights. I probably will wait until the Fenix TK70 comes out to see what the reviews are..

That M20 looks like a tough light! Let me know how the XM-L is in that light.

Wow - you're moving up to the big leagues. With the tk70 or sr90 you could look way out in the ocean but are they too big for you?

The sr91 and tk70 with batteries and charger added are both significantly over budget.

Yah they are pretty big and it will be mostly a novelty light for me so It should be Fine... That way I'll stop looking at Throwing lights and concentrate on more practical lights.. I hope anyway..
I hope I'm not going to regret it and wish I got something like a M3C4 XM-L or TK41? Only reason I didn't bother lookin at those are I had a Catapult V2 XM-L and want something even brighter and that can throw farther... Seems the SR91, SR90, TK70 are the only options. how does the SR51 do compared to these? Anyone know?

I had an SR91, I sold it b/c I didn't want to carry it in the field. It is a monster... Now I'm holding out for the upcoming Eagletac MX25L2... Running off 2 D cells, its size is just right for me. Substantial, but doesn't require a shoulder strap like the SR91. And it comes in 2 different reflector sizes for its SST-90, so you can choose between relative flood or throw. The larger (Turbo) reflector looks nearly as big as the SR91. I just hope those 2 D batteries will give the SST-90 its proper juice.

FYI I also just acquired a Scorpion V2 neutral with Turbo head, which is my main work light now. It out-throws everything else in its category I've tried, by far.

Eagletac light are awesome but they take forever to release anything up to date.
I gave up on waiting which is why I went to other companies.
The M3C4 XM-L is a great light but just was to similar to what I already had.

I love my Scorpion. It replaced many of my lights similar in size. With that turbo head it throws pretty good. I just wish the holster would work better with that head on. I currently am using it as it came with the stock head. Still out performs almost all of my lights.

Does anyone know if the SR51 throws better than a Catapult V3? I like its size..

For a "show light", you couldn't have made a better choice... I took mine on a group camping trip a few months ago, and the first night I lit up a mountain range about 500 yards away for my friends. They were in awe.. :)
