Wow - what a great camping trip that was. Thanks so much for putting that together Tim, especially for picking the only weekend of the year with PERFECT camping weather! What a great crowd we had, and with so many cool lights, mods, knives, and camping gear. Having the obseratory there was an added bonus, as was the good trail system. There are a few good trails for night hikes that we have to check out if we go there again.

Thanks to Dorcy for sending you so many nice lights and batteries to try out. They were very impressive.

Here Paul is riding the trail and a Deer ran across in from of us. I'll bet you wonder how
I got this shot while riding behind him?? Did you ever see the movie about talking to animals?
Nope, that wasn't it!!

I would like to say what a great event this was....for all of you who may not go camping much...or at all- don't let that stop you. We share lots of things here. Every year I bring food...and cart most of it back home! You can't walk around without someone trying to feed you!

Breakfasts are fun...Ike made tons of bacon at one end of the table, and I made eggs at the other end! There were lots of other choices too. If you are watching your calories...forget It. Get a note from your Doctor...or better yet- bring him (or her) along!!

Next trip I understand we are going South! Hey- it's downhill- think of the great gas mileage you'll get!

Thanks for the pictures, Lighthouse 1. And, thank you Tim for putting these things together. Looks like it was great!

Only our second FCW but this was the best, thanks Tim for putting this together. This weekend had a home away from home feel, everyone pulling together and helping each other. Just great to see eveyone, the weather didn't hurt either.
Jessica and I will see you all at the next one, we won't miss it.

Wow what a fantastic weekend!!! Great people - weather - food - campground - and of course great lights!

Thanks to everyone for making it such a wonderful success. Special shout out to the following:
Ike and Bill for breakfast!
Jessica for enabling me to gain 10lbs with all the rest of the tasty food!
Dorcy for all the great Dorcy and DieHard flashlights and batteries!
Every one who brought / collected wood to keep the fires going!
Ike for giving everyone gas... butane that is!

I'm already looking forward to the next one, so stay tuned FCW-10 is in on the planning board! --Tim

PS - I spoke with Dorcy and DieHard is its own brand, distributed by Dorcy and of course sold at Sears. I believe somewhere on the back of the packaging it says something about being a registered Sears brand / distributed by Dorcy International. I hope this helps clear up any questions about that.

Also All of the DieHard lights we got are of the very first production run, and are not even available to the public at this time (should be available online first and then in stores shortly after - maybe within a month or so). Kinda cool huh!
