Mag came out with new model. Anyone got one yet? I ordered one, should come in Friday. seems interesting.

The throw was surprisingly good like a Maglite does. It's still fairly bright on power saver mode.

What kind of luck have you guys had with Mag's warranty department? I picked up a 3AA with a broken LED module. It also has some battery corrosion inside, which they say could invalidate service, but it's not related to the LED problem.

From what I heard, 3AA was a pretty much a failure, most unreliable Maglite, maybe that is why it was discontinued shorty.
As far as warranty, I personally never used it. but i can see them denying it due to a battery leak, even if you convince them it is unrelated, the light was discontinued a decade ago or more, I doubt they even have parts for it.
Just mod it, put a pill from a 26mm dropin in it and make it better than it ever was. 3aa is a rare host could be turned into a good light,

Any issues I've had due to their product they made it right, quickly. If it was new they even paid the postage. Any issues I've had due to my screw up they made right but I paid for the replacement parts (and postage). Contact them via email and explain your situation.
I have also had mine for several months. The throw is nice for this size of light. It is a good solid light.
I'm gonna send it in with a letter and see what happens. Doesn't really fit my collection, but 3AA lights have turned into hot tickets so I grabbed one when I had the chance. But it was supposed to be in good working condition and not this mess. Seller made good on the situation at least.
