    Retrofitting a Flood light

I kinda already ordered the parts minus the heatsink because I wanted some other views on this.. I don't have info on the fixture I just know it used hard to find PL-C 20W CFL bulbs so I figured it would be a good time to try and retrofit. Anyways I will be using a Bridgelux Vero 18 in both...

    Reflector for bridgelux LED?

I have the Bridgelux BXRA-50C2600-B-00 I was wondering if they made 32 mm reflectors for this? http://www.digikey.com/product-search/en?WT.z_header=search_go&lang=en&site=us&keywords=976-1085-ND&x=13&y=13&formaction=on

    Heatsink 6 LED's at 350mA

I have been wondering maybe someone can help me out.. I how can you cool 6 LED's but getting the heat away from the LED's in a enclosed fixture that's mounted on a wall outdoors? I would assume it needs to be passive cooled?

    Security wall lighting fixture

Or I was thinking this I wonder if it's better for me to use some smaller LED's like these like 6 of them http://www.digikey.com/product-search/en?pv562=3935&FV=fff40008%2Cfff80354%2Cab00010&k=Bridgelux&mnonly=0&newproducts=0&ColumnSort=0&page=1&stock=1&quantity=0&ptm=0&fid=0&pageSize=25...

4000+ Lumen Test & BridgeLux LED Review

I know this thread is old but I have a security light I want to retrofit, I was looking at the BridgeLux BXRA-50C5300-H-00 I just don't know if a 5 1/2" 6 1/2" aluminum heatsink is enough to cool one or two of them? Would I be better off going with smaller LED's? I need at least 6800 lm.

    Security wall lighting fixture

Maybe 1 or 2 of these? I just don't know how hot they get Also a few other things is how thick should my heatsink be and I don't need a lens in front of the LED's since the cover already has a design that should do well with the LED's...

    Security wall lighting fixture

So right now I have a 70W HPS fixture up now I assume when the bulb is new it's around 6800 lm? So I have this vr2 lithonia fixture that I got free and in stock form it comes only with a 7W CFL with the ballast.. What I was proposing to do was to take that out and put LED's on a metal plate...

    My LED Worklight Project

This was the thread I was trying to find.. I was thinking about doing the same to my flood light since the bulb blew and hard to find a replacement. But curious how the heatsink is mounted.. did you have to drill or anything like that?

    Cree Star and problem

At this point I don't think the LED's would ever turn off.. sun does come in the window in the day but unless it's hitting the LDR it's never going to be bright enough.. I think I'm about to order this larger LDR to see if it helps since these are so small.

    Cree Star and problem

:) then that makes sense :) One question on my buck I'm using a photocell aka LDR to dim the LED's.. however they don't dim that easy.. like turning on the light in the kitchen they still pretty much stay on.. However if I hit the LDR with my LED flashlight from maybe 15 ft away I can see the...

    Cree Star and problem

Wow I really gotta mix some white in here.. I wonder if I could put one more star... I did not know royal blue was going to be a bit Uv'ish.. I have a stack of green papers that turn a bright green and all my LED's with yellow dies all glow under the the XR-E

    Cree Star and problem

The stars or maybe the screws must be conducting on the bar because just touching my soldering iron anyplace on the bar causes the first LED connected to the buck to glow faint. Ahh never mind got it finally

    Cree Star and problem

I was doing 13V then moved to 19V.. maybe I got the wiring wrong? it goes pos-neg from the driver and then pos from the first star to neg to the next? Don't I need to wire back from the last star?
