    14500 Battery option for Thrunite Neutron 1A XMl @ 3.3amps Li-On or Li-Mn

Yes that helps about the AW 14500 runing on the Neutron 1A. Without looking up the specs fo the Quark, I suspect it runs about the current on MAX/TURBO.

finaly get the go ahead for good flashlights at work !

6 years ago I purchased a few Pelican "reflex" 4x AA rechargeables for work. Not the brightest by today's standards but reliable. I need waterproof plastic so it could be easily decontaminated. My technicians work on a lot of chemical equipment so clean up was a concern. I wanted...

    3 Sons = 3 flashlights for Christmas - Recommend 1xAA with 14000 or 1.5V

Now I need better 14500 Batteries I know we're not really supposed to cross-post, but now that I have the Thrunite Neutron 1A's, I found I need different 14500 batteries. I started a new thread about this in the batteries fourm...

    14500 Battery option for Thrunite Neutron 1A XMl @ 3.3amps Li-On or Li-Mn

This is a long post, sorry but I usually only ask questions after extensive research… I have 4 Thrunite Neutron 1A for gifts for my 3 sons and 1 for myself. The lights are crazy bright, but don’t run on turbo on my Trustfire 14500 “flame” version (DX SKU 26124) without almost instantly opening...

    3 Sons = 3 flashlights for Christmas - Recommend 1xAA with 14000 or 1.5V

Went with the Thrunite Neutron 1A I ended up going with 3x of the the Thrunite Neutron 1A for $35.99, plus $6 shipping. It seemed to fit most of the criteria except it has a reverse clicky. One of my sons wanted a tailstand feature, so I decided a forward clicky wasn't mandatory, but having a...

    3 Sons = 3 flashlights for Christmas - Recommend 1xAA with 14000 or 1.5V

Dadof7, very good comments. I may now consider a twist switch versus a clickly. I've lost 2 shurefire clickly switches. Any lights that anyone knows of that you can order spare clicky switches or can get a twist switch and upgrade to a clicky? I'm actually putting more thought and research...

    3 Sons = 3 flashlights for Christmas - Recommend 1xAA with 14000 or 1.5V

I understand the drawbacks of the 14500 and I usually use eneloops myself, but the 14500 are just fun!

    3 Sons = 3 flashlights for Christmas - Recommend 1xAA with 14000 or 1.5V

Thanks for the recommendation about the QPA. I also was looking at the Balder SE-1 (foward clickly & 14500). ItS at a lower price, which may be better suited for kids that tend to misplace things. They also have a AA extention tube to convert it to a 2xAA light.

    3 Sons = 3 flashlights for Christmas - Recommend 1xAA with 14000 or 1.5V

The zebralight SC52 looks nice, but I really have to stay in budget. Forced rotating time off at work will be costing me up to $1,000:eek: per month. I'm narrowing my search to: 4Sevens Quark Tactial QTA - Not as bright as others, but it does have 14500 support. Sells for about $55, so I some...

    3 Sons = 3 flashlights for Christmas - Recommend 1xAA with 14000 or 1.5V

I need recommendations for Christmas gifts for my 3 sons (Ages 19,15, 13), all future Flashaholics. I don’t frequent this site as much as I used to (takes a lot of restraint and I’m saving $$), so I’m glad to see this new Forum. Budget $50 each (shipped, w/o batteries) Style 1xAA LED with...

    Hybrid Solar LED Flashlight Review

One or more of my Local Costco's (Tempe, AZ) is closing out at $14.97 per 2 pack. Costco Item 700138 I think I'll go by 2 packs today during lunch.

RV/Camping trailer lighting project – Need help

Another update, I picked up a bunch of warm crees on stars from Market Place and used the DX driver to wire 2 LED in series for double light fixtures and just 1 LED for single fixtures. I used some flat aluminum plate as heat sinks to mount the LED's to. I've used these for about 20 nights so...

Self Adhesive LED Star board (Bergquist)

Came across this product in my recent online LED Magazine. http://www.ledsmagazine.com/ Basically its a standard reflow solderable substrate in star form, but it has a self adhesive layer for easier assembly to your heatsink. Thermal resistance is supposed to be better which means, you...

RV/Camping trailer lighting project – Need help

Ok, this is an old thread, but I'm still working very slowly on this. I ordered some DX# 13557 1x3 watt 12v drivers and DX # 2394 Q5 (WD) LED's on star. I attached the LED's to some old UPS heat sinks and ran the LED's for a couple of days. I mounted 1x3W LED to a heat sink and 2x3W LED...

How to make battery discharge graphs?

I'm looking now at the Thundar T6 which is capable of PC USB interface for only $55! http://www.hobbypartz.com/thac6smbachw.html The hobby charger is very appealing because it will function without a PC and can charge and selectively discharge to determine capacity. My question now is...
