Reptile owners! Heat lamps/UV lamps etc

Hey all, I wasn't sure where to put this, I was thinking special application lighting, but I didn't see any threads in there, so I thought fixed lighting might be a better idea. Apologies if this is in the wrong spot. I am in the early phase of researching getting a bearded dragon as a...

    Noooooo it won't move

Maybe try putting it in a plastic bag and boiling it? The heat will expand the material, like running a jar under hot water to work it open. DISCLAIMER: I don't know too much about batteries + heat, so I'd advise against doing that until someone with more knowledge comes in and can say for...

Couple questions. Maglite 6d, and surefire g3l.

Richard, I am an EMT and carry a Malkoff M61 hosted in an MD2 carried in a Surefire holster on duty, and it works very well. There are people on here who would say the output of the M61 is too high, but I find it works very well for my job. The beam is just the right mix of spot and flood...

Hi guys, when did you become crazy for LED flashlights ?

Around Christmas time last year my buddy purchased a Surefire G2 with a Malkoff M60 drop-in that I fell in love with. From there I sort of eased myself in... Started with an ITP SA1, then an Olight T15, then got an Energizer 1AA flashlight and headlamp combo on the marketplace (ended up...

So...I'm not the only one that prefers a flashlight over a pocket knife after all.

I can't believe that only six months ago I never carried a flashlight on me. I've started having at least one on me around the house, at least two when I go out, and three on-duty. Don't know how I got by before. I also can't quite figure out why money keeps disappearing from my paypal...

Bumblebee takes out DC Police SUV

I have to say that story had me and my partner doubled over laughing so hard our crew chief came in to see what the ruckus was about

Multi Modes Can Be Fun, BUT How Important?

Point, and non-flashaholics generally won't have multi-mode flashlights either. They also tend to think maglites are the best in the world...

Multi Modes Can Be Fun, BUT How Important?

Depends on the light's purpose. On-duty I have my Malkoff MD2 on my belt. It gets me tons of light, fast. No fumbling around with extra modes and what not. I also carry my 4Sevens Preon clipped to my pocket (soon to be a ZL SC30 :naughty: ). The low-low is good for use around station, like...

Bumblebee takes out DC Police SUV

What is your current EDC Flashlight... and how do you like to carry? Pics :)

Lately a Malkoff MD2 w/ M61 running on an 18650 with two spares and a blue 4Sevens Preon 1. I carry the Malkoff in a Surefire V70, and the Preon clipped to my pocket. I'm in the process of looking for a good, small, cr123 light with a low low and a decent high to carry in pocket off duty.

M61 2x 18650 change in output, runtime, or both?

Hello all, I did a bit of searching but couldn't really find a definitive answer, so I pose this question: I recently purchased a Malkoff M61 with both an MD2 and MD4 body. I'm waiting for my 18650's to show up, so I've been running it on the MD2 body with 2xCR123. If I were to run the...

    folding "survival" knife suggestions

Batoning can be done with any knife if you use proper form and technique, and any knife will eventually break if you have poor form and technique. However, I do heartily agree with you on purchasing a fixed blade for a "survival" (bushcraft) knife. I also second getting a Bark River knife...

    girl help needed.

If you give a girl a gift, it should be something that you WANT to give her, from your heart. It shouldn't be a tool to use to woo her back to you, that doesn't work, it just makes you look pathetic; Unless there's a lot more money behind where that came from, then you look pathetic AND she'll...

    Which E-reader?

It will be a dedicated e-reader. I have my Zune for music, my phone for internet, and my laptop for movies etc. I want an e-reader with the eInk screen for both the long battery life and for the ability to read it in sunlight. 3G capability is unimportant to me. I have access to several...
