    hi for photoshoot at night, i use an armytek tiara warm, with good result. the flood is good, nice power and color is ok. i use that for macro. i think nichia 219 hi cri should be near perfect for that, but don't know if it's use on AA flashlight.

    i have the SX5, the HP12 is more compact, the battery carrier is very big on the Spark to accept 26650 or 3*AA

    thanks DAN92 yes, i use a Cryos M2, the head is larger, drop-in come deeper, and made contact with the lens, so i have a very large beam. L2 body is anodised inside and allows lock-out , also it free of etching on mine, full black. i just cut a spring to make contact between drop-in and body...
