Most lighters won't work in the cold at all. A fire steel is a much better way to start a fire, just make sure to have enough tinder. No joke, I always have a handful tampons in my bag when I'm out in the wild :) . Haven't found anything yet that is cheaper and works better.
cheers
I'm also a slingshooter and found my way to this sport trough Dankung. I have tried several models and rubbers but nothing works as good for me as the "Black Eagle" along with 1842 tube rubber. The Black Eagle has become my absolute favorite slingshot and is always either in my pocket or my EDC...
Well, it always comes down to what is more important for someone, either runtime or maximum brightness. Personally I use Trustfire 14500's (the black and red ones with the flames) and I'm very satisfied with their performance if I need tons of light output.. But if I don't need that much output...
Sunwayman V11R with extender tube und loaded with a AA Lithium primary (Energizer for instance) would be my recommendation. Why? because this battery type is nearly invulnerable to weather extremes (hot/cold) and keeps its juice well over a decade. The light is a great flooder (what you want...
The Jetbeam BC10 is a great choice. It runs fine on a 3volt Lithium primary but it runs insanely bright on a 16340 :D
If you don't mind about a littler larger (taller) the Thrunite Archer 1A is also very impressive with the new XP-G2. It does have a smaller spill than the BC10 but with a 14500...
No cellphone ever and I mean EVER, can replace a good wristwatch for me. If the battery thing is your main concern, well, ther are countless great alternatives out there. If only telling the time is important to you, a simple mechanical Seiko 5 (lots of great models from that series) is all you...
Does really care anybody about the wachtes in the first video? :grin2:
Seriously, I like the P6600 series because they have a day AND date window, which is unfortunately a very rare thing in the world of H3 watches. I would have probably bought one a long time ago, BUT the lack of a tritium...
Eusty,
are you saying that there is almost no resistance since the surface where the ball hits the (-) battery pole and the (-) recharger pole is so small that it doesn't make a noticable differnce? (which would be great of course)
cheers
I too have eneloops unused in some of my lights since years and they work great. If you even want something more convenient (especilly if the light is stored in hot/cold places), you could always buy some Lithium Energizer AA primaries, they are rated for 2023+
cheers
I ran into the same problem just recently, because now I have 16340 cells but my charger will only fit for 14500's, 16760's and 18650's. I use a 14mm steelball (I shoot them with slingshots :D) as a spacer and so far it seems to work very well. However, not sure about the resistance, which I...
Trust me, the last thing you want is a focused beam on a bicycle, because it is next to useless (I'm a hardcore mountainbiker myself). The ideal choice is two lights one with a wide, floody beam for near distance that is able to light up the areas left and right in front of you well. I use a...
