    Any Ready-made 3->6V buck/boost drivers on a 20mm pcb?

Friend is an LEO and wants a pocketable, programmable (as i discovered- this means has a beacon mode available, plus a 2 lumen low, no strobe) light with at least 500 meters of throw and 2000+ lumens. He was gifted a Streamlight Protac HL5x over christmas and loves it, He basically wants that...

Any news on XM-L3 or XP-G3?

The XP-G3 is here. 303 lumens/watt and 800 lm at 2A sounds enticing.. Also, dat VF!! (2.73)

    1500-3000 lumen lights?

beam profile should be a homogenous bell curve beam out to about 140 degree usable flood, much like a frosted 10508 xpl triple.. Something with a throw of around 50-100 meters Lets limit it to handlebar lights for now then, or less than 200 grams for helmet I currently use an olight S30R baton...

    1500-3000 lumen lights?

Can someone list every light that fits this category to mount on a bike or helmet? the cateye volt 6000 is a bit too bright/expensive. Anything less than $250 total package will be considered, preferably higher lumens/dollar

    Highest continuous current for a 3x XP-l 1x 18650 tube light?

After some more research, I believe that the efficacy difference is minimal compared to the current 1x xm-L2 lights, and as such I will wait until the technology improves before reconsidering. Thanks for your input!

    Highest continuous current for a 3x XP-l 1x 18650 tube light?

that's why i was considering the linear 7135 driver rather than a FET. I currently have an olight s30R but its not quite bright enough on its turbo. Also the reason for the triple is to improve upon the higher luminous efficacy at lower currents per LED. I was told though that the nichia 219c...

    Highest continuous current for a 3x XP-l 1x 18650 tube light?

I've been considering making a very efficient 1x 18650 light that is as practical as possible. The main focus seems to be as a bike or headlight. I have decided to look into using a Convoy S2+ host from MTN electronics and drive an XP-L triple v6 3C using a Qlite driver. Here's the tricky bit...

    Recent LED Strip Comparisons?

Recently A friend of mine purchased a "starry night" copper wire waterproof LED strip that looked fantastic wound around his walls in the dorm room. A quick amazon search revealed that they are available from anywhere between $8 and $22, but I can't figure out at all which cheaper ones could be...

S30R Baton Tailcap Issues and Upcoming Fix

I have had Issues with the V2 that are, after lots of testing, seemingly the same issue: Something firmware related. The lights will flicker inconsistently in high or turbo mode, and in some cases completely shut themselves off, only to come back on sometimes. Cleaning the threads and contact...

2000 lm ip68 mountain bike lights for less than $150?

Considering the Fenix BC30, or looking at a cheapie solarstorm x3 but can't find any reputable sales sites for it... Is there anything that uses an XHP emitter or MT-g2? If the light uses replaceable 18650's, I will be putting in panasonic GA's. Tint should be not blue. (5500k or less)

BLF Manker A6 – Custom tube light designed by BLF – Cree XP-L in three tints, 1x18650

I tried an 18650B in it to see how it performed, and without any measurement tools, it was ever so slightly dimmer than the turbo using the GA. This is fine, as two turbos in a row with the GA nearly burns my hands.
