Yeah, it works fine when I first put them in but if I let the speakers sit then eventually the batteries would be dead.
There is an on/off button but I am not sure if it turns the speakers completely off. I have the Polk MiDock10 speakers.
I just tried charging the AA Maha Imedion batteries...
I have been using NiMH C cells (Accupower Evolution) and AA cells (Maha Imedion) batteries in Polk Audio ipod speakers. The speakers seem to kill the batteries even when just sitting for a couple of weeks of no use.
I was wondering, is it possible to over discharge the cells to the point where...
I posted this same question on the Polk Audio website and no one seemed to have an answer...
You guys were exactly correct!! I put a little magnet (the ones from Lighthound) on the positive side of each cell at the end and it works perfectly :thanks:
Don't know what I was thinking posting on...
Not sure if this is the right place to post this but, I have portable speakers that runs on 8 alkaline c cells but will not run on the 8 Accupower Evolution 4500mah batteries.
I haven't had any problems using NiMH batteries in anything else and was wondering if the 1.2V vs 1.5V is a problem...
Would it be possible to purchase a body that can take 3x17670 batteries and use that with my MiniHID?
If not, could I use 2x17670 batteries in the MiniHID instead of 4xCR123 batteries? :)
Mac,
This may be a stupid question, but can I use two 18650 2200mAh rechargeable batteries with the Mini-HID instead of 3rcr123 and a dummy cell?
Thanks,

Sorry, nevermind. I didn't notice the voltage till after I posted...
Lamda modified the KeyMates and sold them as Nanomates and Turbomates (dorcy reflector in place of the KeyMate reflector I think) using a 1 watt luxeon and a N-cell battery. The light is terrific for its size and runs for about 45 minutes.
I think there is still one for sale in the B/S/T...
Happy New Years all!!!
Just to clarify, just in case, the X990 and the Surefire Beast (pictured) are two different lights. Both are great lights with VERY different prices :D
I currently carry a Peak Carribean as my EDC. A LOT more throw than the lights that you mentioned. It's right at that $100 dollar amount though. Excellent build quality.
So many lights, so few pockets to carry them in. :D
Just received my light today from the first run (takes awhile to get out here in Hawaii)!!!
It is definitly worth the money, excellent build quality! THANKS MAC!!!
:D:D:D:D
