Lumapower MVP TurboForce P7 Review - BEAMSHOTS, RUNTIMES, and more!

Thanks for another great review. I've been thinking about getting a P7 light for quite some time but was a bit wary of all the stuff sold on DX and Kaidomain and was waiting for a quality light. One question - how does the light feel in the hand? Does it feel balanced, what with the big head and...

JetBeam Jet-III Pro IBS Owners.....Need Your Comments!

The Jet III has a smaller spill than my P2D Q5 on turbo and Dereelight CL1H V3 (3SD) on high. The hotspot is also smaller but much brighter. Spill is pretty similar to the Regal WT1 though again, the hotspot is brighter. I like the JET III very much and I think it will usurp the CL1H as my...

    are computer 18650 protected

Thanks for all these very helpful information. I'm fairly new to Li-Ion cells and still learning so this is good.

    are computer 18650 protected

Just out of curiosity - are these batteries still good to use for flashlights? Presumably you broke open a 'used' battery pack. I have a lot of used (1-2 years) laptop battery packs at work and I've often wanted to break open one just to see what is inside. However, I don't know if there is...

    Kaidomain SSC-U 1aaa - outstanding performance

This light is not designed to run on a lithium battery. Nimh is the best - use an Eneloop.

    Inova XO on 17670 batteries?

Thanks. That's what I wanted to know. Losing brightness is not really an issue - just didn't want to have to keep using primaries. I'll try an unprotected cell and see how it fits before investing in some of AW's protected ones.

    Inova XO on 17670 batteries?

Will an Inova XO run on a single 17670 battery? I'd like to hear some experiences before I invest in the battery.

Can a 10400 charger be used for 10440?

Here's the link. http://www.kaidomain.com/WEBUI/ProductDetail.aspx?TranID=1433 It looks like the Nano 10440 charger which was why I ordered it. I've seen both Kai and DX quote 10400 batteries in their website. Like you said, it's probably a misprint as I've never seen any mention of 10400...

Can a 10400 charger be used for 10440?

I meant to buy a charger for my 10440 cells but just realised that I'd ordered a 10400 charger. Can the 10440 cells be used in the charger? What is the difference between a 10400 and 10440 cell anyway (apart from 1 being shorter, that is)? Thanks for any help.

    Romisen R-1A01 1xAAA light

I don't have the Romisen but Kai's Buckle Light (V2) is extremely bright on Nimh batteries, brighter than the LF2. I like it so much I'm getting the V3 as well.

    Praising 1xAAA lights!

I have both the LF2 and Kai's SSC 'buckle light'. Both are great lights and I use them a lot. The LF2 is on my keychain, programmed to the two modes that suit me and the Kai I use around the house. The LF2 is extremely bright on 10440 though both are plenty bright on normal Nimh.

    Dereelight CL1H V3.0 question

I have a DBS 2SM and a CL1H 3SD. To answer your questions. 1. Yes, the 2SM requires tightening/loosening the head to change mode. 2. The 2SM is driven at 1A whereas the 2SD/3SD is driven at 1.2A on high 3. Changing modes on the 2SD is as you described. While it is possible to get pretty good...

Why is it no one will make this AAA light?

LED_Cool sells them in the marketplace http://www.cpfmarketplace.com/mp/showthread.php?t=169290 though he's based in Malaysia.

    First impressions and questions....dbs and cl1h v3

The pills are swappable. I swapped my new 3SD CL1H pill onto my DBS and put the 2SM pill from my DBS into the CL1H. However, if you use the CL1H pill in the DBS you need to put a spacer between the pill and the reflector. If ordering pills you should specify whether it's for the CL1H or DBS.

    Just ordered an Inova T3

I have a 2007 T3 as well and while it does not throw as well as some of my Cree lights, I like it and the beam it puts out a lot. I don't use it a lot becos' of the fact I can't use my AW rechargeables on it - and it needs 3 batteries!
