    p60 sized led drop-in's

I received mine today. I have no basis for comparison with the previous Malkoff drop-in, but I can say that it "outshines" every other lamp I've tried so far, incandescent or LED. It's very nice!

YES! Snagged a malkoff drop in!

Received my Malkoff today. It blows the P60, P60, Surefire LED, and DX 6090 (or is it 9060?) away! It was very difficult to spend the money on a flashlight lamp, but now I see that it's worth it. I tested it in my backyard, which is decent sized for a suburban home, (just over 1/2 acre). It...

    p60 sized led drop-in's

I just got an email notice, the Malkoff M60's are back in stock. Of course, I ordered my own before posting this.

Surefire G2L Head Made From Aluminum?

I recently received a G2L, about a month ago, and it has the Nitrolon head.

    p60 sized led drop-in's

I just received the DX 6090 yesterday, and installed it in a 6P with two freshly charged RCR123's. It's very nice. Tight, circular hot-spot, with nice spill. I went ahead and ordered three more. To get it to work properly in my 6P, I had to cut the outer spring to a single ring. With the...

Surefire 6p upgrdes - advice for newby please

I just received one of the Deal Extreme sku 6090 LED modules, and put it in one of my 6P's today. I'm pleasantly surprised. Enough so that I ordered three more for my other d26 lights. I want to try one of the Malkoff or BugOutGear USA drop-ins, to see the difference. I'm also using the AW...

    I boarded a plane yesterday....

When I see "Tiger Town", I think of the LSU area. I live in Texas, but I'm a native of Baton Rouge. I spent this weekend in Baton Rouge, cheering on the LSU Tigers and Bobby Jindal. Saturday night was victorious for me all the way around.

    I boarded a plane yesterday....

I can never sleep during that time. I'm always wide awake during overseas flights, and I keep the flight attendants busy. British Air has the best Business Class, followed closely by KLM (Royal Dutch), and Lufthansa (we always jokingly call it "Luftwaffe"). Air France is a PITA, and I won't fly...

Any Surefire G3 fans out there?

I got some AW RCR123a's, and have been running 9V lights with them in a G2 and a pair of 6P's. I use a pair of RCR123a's for the P60L lamp, and it works fine. It does appear brighter with 7.4v than it does with the primaries. I have some cell extenders on order from Hong Kong, so I'll see how...

    I boarded a plane yesterday....

My 6P stays in it's holster, on my belt, on flights. I usually have my G2 in my carry on, and my 1911 in my checked baggage, for access in case of surviving an "emergency landing" in the mountains or something.

SF's Higher End Lights (compared to 6P) What are the advantages?

I was not aware of the Z32 bezel. I'll definitely have to get one for my shotgun light. Thanks for the info!

SF's Higher End Lights (compared to 6P) What are the advantages?

I'm already running RCR123 cells and 9v lamps in my carry 6P, and the shotgun mounted 6P has the LED module from my G2L (which now also has RCR123's and a 9v lamp assembly). I almost bought an M2 last night, but reeled myself in from the impulse buy.

SF's Higher End Lights (compared to 6P) What are the advantages?

So we have HA-III finishes on some, specialty electronics on some, shock isolation on some, dual mode incan/LED on some, and just superior and larger reflector assemblies on some. Obviously, of course, there are the compact, single-cell (CR123) lights, LED's are becoming more en vogue, and...
