Multi-Tint, Multi-Color LED Bulbs Are Here

I was going to order the starter pack but they will be available where I live in 4 months. What I'm worried about is PWM - it's present in all HUE reviews I watched and I'll have to check how bad it is in person or wait for some comprehensive review on CPF ;)

Nitecore SENS CR, Mini, AA (1xCR123A/CR2/AA) Series Review: VIDEO, RUNTIMES, BEAMSHOT

My Sens Mini died on me today. I turned it on on high mode - ti turn on for a few seconds and turned off. From this moment it doesn't turn on and if it turns on it is very dim (around 0,05lm) and flickers. Tested it with 2 different batteries that measured 2,99V - no luck. Will probably send it...

    NITECORE TM11 ‘Tiny Monster’ Review - 2012

Awesome review, thanks! BTW. "Few years" :O AFAIK TM11 was introduced in late (October?) 2011. It's not even a year old. :)

    EagleTac Clicky Ti

Re: Eagtac Titanium Clicky When I was ordering my twisties from 2 different sellers in 2 different countries one came with battery and the other one did not. It is possible that some countries/states have laws against shipping lithium batteries with normal post? Either way it's not that unusual...

What was the ONE light that got you hooked...

Some time ago I was looking for a small flashlight that I can always carry with me. Back then I had no idea what lumens look like in real world and what size light is good for EDC (turns out for me 1x CR123 is perfect). I bought a Fenix LD01 Q5 1xAAA flashlight. When I got home and put a AAA...

Cost benefit analysis Alkaline vs NiMH

I pay 6,76PLN for an Eneloop AA (newest gen. - HR3-UTGA, when buying a set of 8 from official Sanyo distributor) which is $1.95 including VAT. If you detract the tax it's $1.58 (my understanding is that they use nett prices in US ;) ). I think Eneloops are the only thing that is cheaper in...

Nitecore "Tiny Monster" TM11 (4x18650, 3xXM-L) Review: RUNTIMES, BEAMSHOTS, VIDEO +

Re: Nitecore "Tiny Monster" TM11 (4x18650, 3xXM-L) Review: RUNTIMES, BEAMSHOTS, VIDEO I recently started to have some strange problems with my TM11. The head wouldn't screw all the way down, the batteries would rattle, when it was empty you could hear some strange rattling like something was...

    EagleTac Clicky Ti

Re: Eagtac Titanium Clicky Correct, I probably could've used better worlds to describe what I had in mind, I didn't want to confuse gunga by implying that CP Grade 1 is stronger than 6-4 Ti. Also readers should keep in mind that numbers that you are presenting are a 'min' numbers for those...

I Guess Lumen Specs Don't Tell the Whole Story

122lm is for the Cool White emitter - you have Neutral White one and according to Eagletac spec it should be 10% dimmer (Neutral White LED are always dimmer than their Cool White equivalents) than Cool White equivalent. So it's around 110lm for your Neutral White version.

    EagleTac Clicky Ti

Re: Eagtac Titanium Clicky TC4 is just a marking of a manufacturer for their 6-4 alloy. Right now Grade 5 aka Ti6Al4V or 6-4 it the most popular alloy in use and one of the more affordable ones (simply because of its popularity) and for flashlights there really is no point in using other...

    EagleTac Clicky Ti

Re: Eagtac Titanium Clicky I remember reading somewhere that D25 Ti Twisties are Grade 5 so I assumed Clickies are the same. TCR1 is TC4 alloy so also Grade 5.

    EagleTac Clicky Ti

Re: Eagtac Titanium Clicky We are not talking about the esthetics of the lights but about a quality of machining alone. While TCR1 is designed as a pice of jewelry the design of D25 series is strictly functional (which I like). Yes, you get more Titanium in TCR1, yes, TCR1 is more sturdy...

I Guess Lumen Specs Don't Tell the Whole Story

The declared OTF lumens for Eagletac D25A Clicky XM-L neutral are 110lm not 160. Eagletac is more floody than the Quark so it will have dimmer hotspot. Eagletac does not under deliver - if anything it over delivers on their brightness - check selfbuilt review of D25 Clicky series for numbers...
