Help me find a non-PWM headlamp for running

The entire Petzl Tikka lineup for 2014 (Tikka, Tikka +, Tikka RXP/R+/Nano) are all regulated for constant output throughout the battery cycle.

Help me find a non-PWM headlamp for running

I would say you look closely at the Petzl Tikka RXP. Programmable and does not require battery removal for charging. I have the new 2014 575 lumen Nao (and the tikka r+) as well as the rxp and outside of just sheer output I much prefer usin the rxp and wearing the rxp vs the nao. I also like...

    OS by Petzl 3.1 problem

I have a petzl nao as well. I have the 575 lumen 2014 version. I also upgraded the software to the latest version. Was using it with my RXP and R+ lights for the last couple months. I have created and ran several different profiles since installing the new software and have not received any...

Need Suggestions: Headlamp of a Different Kind

Do you have a battery preference? Does this need to be a light that you will use also when not working on small parts? The h602w has a wide range of settings and can go from very low to very high. It is a great choice. There might be some benefit however to something with infinite variability...

Petzl NAO - high-tech headlamp review.

I have the 2014 version on its way. Should be fun. I will run it through it paces compared to the many many other headlamps I have purchased this year and some left over from last year that I haven't gotten rid of yet.

Petzl NAO - high-tech headlamp review.

Congrats on modding the light. Any before and after pics of the beam/output? Is the battery drain you are experiencing on the modded battery or the default battery from Petzl or it doesn't matter and happens on any/all battery packs?

Petzl NAO - high-tech headlamp review.

Oh man, I didn't even catch that. The 355 lumen version comes with 2300mah battery and the 575 lumen version comes with a 2600mah battery. Are you going to try to get them to send you the correct battery or will you just keep it as it is and try to possibly upgrade the battery to the 3400mah...

Petzl NAO - high-tech headlamp review.

Congrats. I would be very interested in a detailed step by step if you order parts/install the new battery setup. A video would work too. :). Enjoy your Petzl Nao. I am ready to pull the trigger on the new upgraded Nao (575 lumens released in July 2014) but I want to be able to upgrade the...

    * new coming/prototype* Fenix BC30R

I wonder when this light will be available. I want to test it against the light and motion taz 1200 and taz 1500.

    USB Rechargeable Headlamps

I assume by rechargeable you mean directly at the light without having to remove the batteries and buy a separate charging system.... For that I currently have the Petzl Tikka R+, Petzl Tikka RXP, and will be ordering the Petzl Nao. All these petzl have programmable runtime/distance/output...

Petzl NAO - high-tech headlamp review.

Any chance you can make/mod me one of these packs so that I can use any/all 18650 that I come across? I read your write up but I am still very unsure if I can build an additional pack to use 18650. I need the help.

Is the resistor required as mentioned above? Would it not be easier to simply use protected cells? I would love to see someone create a step by step video for this mod.

Petzl NAO - high-tech headlamp review.

The new model Nao is now out and in some stores. It hasn't showed up at REI or EMS yet for me to purchase so I am still waiting to check it out and possibly purchase it. I have been enjoying the Petzl RXP and R+ headlamps so far. I have tested them against almost all of my other goto headlamps...
