What was the last LED light you purchased and why?

Nitecore P12 2015 Edition Flashlight - CREE XM-L2 (U2). I wanted something brighter and with a little more throw than any of the lights already owned. This will come in handy when walking our pugs at night in the field up behind our house.

How do you carry your EDC?

I carry my Olight i3EOS in my left front pants pocket. When in use, I often just hold it in my mouth so that I can have both hand free (like last night when I had to hold a hammer and crowbar to chisel ice out of the downspout in front of my house :sick2:

    ShiningBeam

I have been out of the flashlight loop for a while. I decided to check Brian Chen's Shining Beam website, but couldn't access it. Did he go out of business, or is his website just down?

    Magnetic Control Ring Popularity

I have a Sunwayman V10A, which uses the magnetic control ring. It's a nice light, but I don't use it as often, so it tends to sit on my dresser. I have noticed that after not using it for weeks at a time that the battery drain takes its toll. I use an Eagletac 14500, so I just pop out the...

    AARGH! Banish the MiniMags Now!

Re: MiniMags Now Banished! I have a couple of older MiniMag 2AAs, which I used before learning about LEDs. I can't say that I have had any real problems with the Mags, but compared to the brightness of my LEDs, there is no comparison. I haven't used my Mags since buying my 4Sevens AA light a...

Find me a AAA keychain light

My EDC is an Olight i3 EOS, which I really like. I also have an ITC i3 EOS in SS, but I think they were taken over by Olight. The ITC has an attached SS keyring & chain, and is a three-mode just like the Olight.

    Best AAA keychain <$100

If you decide to get a less expensive AAA for EDC, consider the Olight i3 EOS. They are available on the Shining Beam website for $19.75. These are 3-mode: Low (2.5 lumens), Medium (20 lumens), High (70 Lumens), twisty switch with a nice pocket clip and attached keyring.

    a lite under $30

You might also want to check the selection of lights at Shining Beam. They have a couple of decent AA lights for right around $30.00.

1xAAA Tail Stand-able Multimode With ~10 Lumen Medium

Does the Olight i3S replace the i3EOS? I purchased the i3EOS from Shining Beam for $19.75 (still available). Here are the specs: * LED type: Premium Cree XP-G R5 * Premium type III hard-anodized anti-abrasive finish * Twisty switch on/off * 3-mode: Low (2.5 lumens), Medium (20 lumens), High...

Head on EDC AAA way too loose

You might also try some Teflon tape on the threads. That would add a little more thickness to the threads, but still allow for smooth twisting.

What light do you want to recieve for Christmas

If I were to get another flashlight for Christmas, I would want a Zebralight SC52. I don't think it's gonna happen because my wife & daughter both think I already have too many lights! :(
