Run4JC - That was such a great summary for the Fenix folks, and really encouraging to see them reading this thread. They'll sell a bajillion of these I'm sure.. probably a decent light, but I agree, it's not the e01... they will not get my business on this one; but that's my issue and not...- Darvis

Scout - I'm torn here as well. The older and lighter EDC me loves the idea of that do all AAA... but.... I just can't....... go... there... I thought the Beta QR v2 would be it, the e05, the Ti3... but I struggle with levels that just don't quite work (did I like low? Medium? Skip to high...- Darvis

I'm glad I stocked up on the originals as I think this one is a pass for me. The need to add a clip to tailstand is enough in and of itself... The rest: the three levels vs. 1, no potting..... and as mentioned previously, awash in sea of other lights that are basically the same. I would have...- Darvis

Oh man! As Grizzman noted, any white ceiling turns a tail-standing light into a lamp, or... Take an old baby bottle cap (shown with my EDC light): And make it a camping lamp: Or, a nice hanging light: And here's how I EDC it: Can't live without the feature!- Darvis
