    Emitter without Heatsink

    Emitter without Heatsink

I want to put an LED in some cool liquor bottles I have. Mains powered (with 3.3v or 5v wall wart etc) to avoid annoyance of changing batteries. Don't want a heatsink and after the simplest solution in regards to driver etc. Perhaps a 5mm LED with current limit resistor is the way to go but...

Will I need a dive light...

Re: Will I need a dive light for video... Fantastic info thank you Delphinus. I am only really interested in taking videos since the camera doesn't offer enough control for pictures. I will be buying an auto-magic filter you recommended since the camera only has auto-WB and I am diving in the...

Source for NiMH Charger in UK

Yes it is a feature since it doesn't have single charge channels: 2 or 4 pieces of AA or AAA at a time

    *NEW* Fenix TA20 & TA21!!

Does anyone else not like the look/style of the over-fussy heads of these torches? They look like nice models - just I prefer a simpler design.

BessieBenny's Budget LED (DX/KD etc) Flashlights Review Roundup (Part X)

Help me choose - narrowed choice to 2 lights I have a Fenix LD10 with OP reflector - my first real torch. I'm about to buy my first Li-ion torch to step up the ladder. I want something brighter with better throw but still small enough to EDC. I don't want to spend loads of $$$ with my first...

Maha MH-C9000, the Wizard One Charger (Part 2)

I thought about this when I charged my Eneloops. Whilst the low 0.1C won't do much harm I discharged mine first to be careful.

Running two 3.7V LEDs from 12V

After plenty of searching I found a thread where someone had placed the heated star on a metal plate to remove the emitter. I simply put the star board on the aga plate. Someone used a knife to hold down the board whilst I pushed the emitter sideways. As soon as it moved I lifted one edge up...

Running two 3.7V LEDs from 12V

On no! I've just read this website: http://www.tomsarazac.com/tom/Bicycles/dualcree.html I now think I should have bought bare emitters and glued them straight to my heatsinks. How easy is it to remove the Cree Q5s from the star boards? Pretty tricky I'd imagine?
