    Long runtime high-CRI camp light

No, as long as it remains efficient. Diffusing a columnated beam usually wastes lumens compared to a purpose-built flood light, doesn't it?

    Long runtime high-CRI camp light

Looking for a flood light for camping, under $100 with batteries. Seeking 90+ CRI, around 4000°K CCT, rain proof, accept lithium ion cells, excellent runtime at medium and low output. The Nitecore LR60 appeals except for the runtime. Somewhat larger would be OK too but not the size of a lunchbox.

    Overdischarged Samsung 26F cell

Today I received back a "protected" Samsung 26F cell that had been mistreated. It had been completely run down on a Nanjg 105c XM-L light, then left to sit for over a year. The rested open circuit voltage was 2.53v. I have the cell charging now on a Xtar VP1 and I am keeping a close watch on...

    UC35vn - The 18650 Work Horse

That is a very long light! It is almost as long as a Surefire L2. Pockets beware.

    WTS: PD35vn

Re: WTS: PD35vn - RCB 2 To me "Reverse Cone Beam" seems nonsensical. It sounds like a beam that has a bright spill and then gets progressively dimmer toward the center. If "Hot spot is filled and defined. Corona almost absent." is what it actually is I don't think "cone" has anything to do...

    WTS: S200C2vn - Baby Throw King 122K Lux - 690 OTF Lumen

Re: WTS: S200C2vn - Baby Throw King Thanks! Based on that I agree that the XML2 is probably the more generally useful option in that package.

    WTS: S200C2vn - Baby Throw King 122K Lux - 690 OTF Lumen

Re: WTS: S200C2vn - Baby Throw King Vinh, would you compare the spot size of the S200C2 with both modifications to that of the K40vn? That would give me some perspective.

    WTS: S200C2vn - Baby Throw King 122K Lux - 690 OTF Lumen

Re: WTS: S200C2vn - Baby TK61vn I'm glad to see you follow through on this, even though I can't afford one now. I knew it would be a great light in your hands! All the wrong guesses amuse me; It seems this light wasn't on most people's radar.

Armytek Wizard Pro night spearfishing and test

Thanks for the test. These head lamps are rated: "Waterproof & Submersible: 10m" How far down were they taken in the test?

Vinh, can you guess by looking if this LD-34 driver could be used for a MT-G2, powered by 2x18350's? It's a constant-current driver (no PWM) if that matters.

WTS: D40Avn - Compact AA Lumen Monster 4.4A 1480 Lumen

Re: WTS: D40Avn - Compact AA Lumen Monster A bit more than expected I must admit. Do you have to pull the glued star from the head to de-dome? So much to learn. :)

WTS: D40Avn - Compact AA Lumen Monster 4.4A 1480 Lumen

Re: WTS: D40Avn - Compact AA Lumen Monster I bet my father would like that; he is impressed by throw. How much for that mod on an existing D40Avn? (Probably not now, but it might be a nice surprise later, if a better LED isn't available by then.)
