    Just bougth this light from DX, and it can only take 2 batteries. Anyone know if it would be safe to run it with 3 batteries? I used an extension tube from an other flashlight and was able to use it with 3 batteries. Voltage Input is rated at 8,4-12V so shouldent this be fine?

    I have a 3x 18650 light where i can disassemble it to use 3x cr123a batteries, but is is possible to use a combination of cr123a's and 18650's as loong as i keep myself within the driver voltage requirement 3,6v-12,6v?

    Looking for a strong focusable budget light.

    I have never seen any focusable LEDs that have anything better than about 230 lumens. Is it not possible to make a focusable led light out of a xml led? Would be nice to have a light that could be a very good thrower and flood light.
