    how do I measure color temperature of uva/b florescent lamps ?

    I would probably use my camera (dSLR) and a grey card, then get the temp from Lightroom (the processing software) when setting the white balance. If you aren't a photographer, do you know someone who is?

    Defiant flashlights from Home Depot

    Our HD has the little Defiant (36 lumen) two-pack for $1.50 -- I figured at 75 cents a piece, they'd be just fine in the car glove box.

    Between a cell phone, clock in the car, many devices at home with clocks, and two computers at work, I don't usually wear a watch. I have a Timex (analog), but seldom wear it.

    They should be close, as far as exposure is concerned. One may have a bit more noise, distortion, etc. than the other.
