    ultra fire p7 lemon

There are 2 small diodes that are too weak and will burn through fast. Just bridge the connections as shown in this post (red "Z"): http://www.messerforum.net/showpost.php?p=519123&postcount=54 But be careful then: Do not install batteries the wrong way any more then.

    Slightly radioactive flashlight, or?

There have always been rumors that contaminated steel could get into production processes. Contaminated steel has already been found on several scrapyards in Europe (where at least some scans for such material are made) and even some products from china did contain contaminated steel. I always...

AW Protected 17670 batteries in an RC-F4?

AFAIK no 17670 will fit in the RF-F4 unless you widen the inner diameter. Just take a big drill, some sanding paper, tape the sanding paper onto the drill and then you need some time (~20 min). I used an cordless screwdriver for doing this. You should remove the head + pill before doing this...

Anyone tried the eGear K2 Focus Control Plus Headlamp?

AFAIK the headlamp has only a Luxeon 1.25W emitter. And the heatsinking on it's little brother wasn't the best. When you wanted to use NiMHs instead of Alkalines you had to mod the flashlight and add additional heatsinking. (I own one myself and it gets really hot when you use NiMHs.)

Anyone tried the eGear K2 Focus Control Plus Headlamp?

The price seems far too high. I know the HL-100 (little brother?) headlamp. That used to cost around $20 2 years ago and was called Rayovac Highbeam K2 3AA Headlight. Here is a thread about the HL-100: http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=168138 LOL - you posted in the future (I...

    My KD Tough Q5 died.

@n16ht5: Try a NiMH battery. Normal Alkalines (esp. the cheap ones) do not work very well with this light due the high demand of current.

XJC B-8 Super Bright CREE P4 LED Flashlight Silver(1xAA) - Review

And here is my comparison with the Romisen / Saik RC-A3 (orange tailcap added by me after purchase): The flashlight is silver, too, but it has a somehow blueish tint. The XJC B-8 is more silver/grey. The XJC B-8 feels more solid and fits my hand better. It's material thickness seems to be...

XJC B-8 Super Bright CREE P4 LED Flashlight Silver(1xAA) - Review

Here is my short review of the XJC B-8 Super Bright CREE P4 LED Flashlight Silver(1xAA) I was looking for a flashlight that has the following specs: - round shape (especially no sharp bezel) - powered by 1 AA - GID-tailcap - glas lens - OP aluminium reflector First impression: Great finish...

Driver board list / regulator board list.

@Morepower: When did you receive your sku.4382 boards? I received this board instead of the pictured one mid August. And trying to use it with ~2.5V (2x NiMH AA) results in a current draw around 2A. :thumbsdow

    Zebralight H30-Q5 Review (Picture Heavy)

I have one question: Do the "longer" RCR123A (Trustfire, Ultrafire) ones fit? They are 1.5mm longer than normal RCR123As (e.g. AWs).

help! how do i break loose stock thermal epoxy?

Go for the freezer. Put the light into a plastic bag and stuff it into your freezer overnight. You will still have to use quite some force, but it will "crack".

BessieBenny's Budget LED (DX/KD etc) Flashlights Review Roundup (Part V)

Re: BessieBenny's Budget LED DX/KD Flashlights Review Roundup (Part V) You should have tried to put the light in the freezer for a while (several hours). The glue becomes hard and breaks then easily.
