    Hey JDH, you only need to question your sanity if you are not overwhelmed by this site! Who knew! I'm a Newb myself, but I'm going to recommend the Sunwayman T40CS that I use. A great throw for the money, and to my mind, just the right amount of spill so you can see the area.

    How many use SOS and Strobe functions?

    I can see that an "unhidden" strobe/SOS feature would be a real PIA. My T40CS UI rules in this respect. The Klarus XT11 in my future has a separate switch for direct strobe, should be a nice compromise. In a SERE type situation, both modes would have there place. Glad to have them!
