    Where to buy a +250mw red diode?

    Hey BoomDog I agree, I,ve heard and read too many stories of low power from those units, .. like half power. Its gunna take about 450mW of 658nm Red to be about equal brightness to the green. And finding a 635nm laser with the same thin beam spec as the green will be almost impossible with...

    Directly injected 532nm green laser diodes on the horizon!!!

    Hehe , Yeah.. I read that too. I am sure they meant the laser projection tv itself as a whole would produce a wider color gamut because of the deeper blue and the deeper red diodes, as compared to CRT or lamp driven units. I guess they didnt proof read it first. it'l be interesting how the green...

    Blu-Ray laser diode hack

    Hi Aaron, No ours look much brighter Hey guys Thought I'd let you know of some of my results with these diodes.. My two, purchased from the same seller on ebay netted two combination Violet/Red/IR diodes. Both started threshold at about 22 and 27ma both output 22mW at 42ma.. I didnt push...

    Hey : Who has one of these?

    Basically.. That is the idea for what I want to do with it.. Great minds think alike :)

    Hey : Who has one of these?

    Thanks Guys It was fun to build it.. We did it just to see if we could do it.. And to share it... Spec came down to visit us and it gave us something "laser" to do. Note: These diodes are extremely fragile and can be damaged so much faster than any other kind of diodes we have experienced...

    Hey : Who has one of these?

    We (Marconi and Spec) looked at a Blu-Ray pointing device and realized we could probably put one together. As far as we are able to tell this is the first one in the nation. We made a neat new toy. Have a look. ;) 405nM: a beautiful blacklight purple, yes the beam is visible with light...

    Can you name this phenomenon? :)

    Magic... :)

    getting 532nm light

    Trident It is very important to include all lenses That particular lens helps form the wide beam from the diode to a much narrower one to get to a small spot beam . The power in the spot beam is what is needed for the ND crystal to go above threshold to generate harmonics... *^_^*

    Did you get it working Ivar? *^_^*

    Astro Aimer

    Hi Ivar..Welcome to CPF The yellow wires as they are shown connect to the two outer connections... The red wire goes to the center.. You will need a soldering iron Be careful , not to do this over carpet as this will blow the diode. Discharge yourself by touching something like the case of...

    anybody have one of these modules? { 650nm 100mW }

    Re: anybody have one of these modules? { 650nm 100 Yep It would be nice to have an APC circuit in those, but the diodes used do not contain a photodiode. Their are other ways to make them stable. one way would be to at least have a regulator inside . Another way would be a a zener (altho not...

    anybody have one of these modules? { 650nm 100mW }

    Yes, Its output varies quit a bit.. You might want to check out the link below , It might have some answers for you. I just wanted to give you my experience without sounding too biased with that unit.. I didnt come here to try to sell you on anything ... see for yourself.
