Well, you can still do that with the L head on a 1xAA body. You just won't have NiMH or alkaline capability. The only thing I'm a little confused about is running 1xCR123 primary cells. If I read correctly, that should be safe on either head. For that matter, so should 2xAA NiMH, although...- Hondo

Well, to get into personal usage, one of my all-time favorites for "around the house" navigation is a Gerber Infinity Ultra. Really, any decent 5 mm light with a good LED installed though.
