New X9 - When will it be available?

I would be tempted but it's just too much of a novelty for my purposes. I have a DX80 and I almost never use it. Granted, I expect the X9 to be superior in every way except max lumen rating but that doesn't mean I'd use it any more than the DX80.

New X9 - When will it be available?

List price is still $600, sale price of $450 only good during one day, release day of June 8th. Likely just throwing those who have been waiting for so long a bone.

    Show off your copper

Nice - I bought one of those R50 coppers, too, but was notified a few days later that they didn't have the stock to fulfill my order... :sigh:

3rd gen Reylight Ti LANs are up on Kickstarter

Anybody half-watching this, the campaign is now offering a kickstarter-exclusive anodized upgraded version, each unique. Not everybody's cup of tea but if you're into funky colors it's worth a look... (From the campaign)

    The word's brightest flashlight yet---------IMALENT DX80 32000lumens

The newer charger I had fried before it had completed a single recharge cycle. I'd wait for yours to die before getting the laptop charger but when it does, yes, get the laptop charger instead of a replacement from Imalent.

*** The First FOURSEVENS Announcement of 2018

Well I thought it was a very lovely story and you tell it so well, with such enthusiasm... And as far as the time's concerned, I'm with you, everything's relative... Seriously though, good story.

*** The First FOURSEVENS Announcement of 2018

Though I'm an olight fan, I'll admit I only know foursevens through reputation. But I read about its closure and all the disappointment on the forum about it, wondered with the rest of y'all who the new owner would be. While at the same time I've been a fan of Jason's for a few years now, have...

3rd gen Reylight Ti LANs are up on Kickstarter

No, beyond a "FYI" it has no practical value unless he ships in order of backer number, so you know where you stand, or if you have some add-on or customization negotiated outside of kickstarter and you want to reference which backer you are. But if you want to know your backer number anyway...

Has anyone gotten a Maratac Peanut or PCL light?

No it doesn't really heat up. After a few minutes you might feel a little warmth but nothing even close to approaching hot or uncomfortable to hold. I haven't noticed any output rampdown but that's a subjective observation, I'm not using measuring equipment. I have not tested the runtime...

Has anyone gotten a Maratac Peanut or PCL light?

Well I, for one, just saw this thread... Yes I have both, the Peanut in brass and the PCL in copper. They're a bit different than your typical "twist to activate" lights as you screw them down part of the way to activate low then continue to screw them down completely to switch to high...

    The word's brightest flashlight yet---------IMALENT DX80 32000lumens

Well, I can say it's like this - fire up a 100 lumen AAA, you think "that's pretty decent for a light this size." Then a 1000 lumen 18650 and you think, "wow that's pretty bright". Then you light up a 3K+ lumen 26650 and you think, "man that's an impressive amount of power, how could anyone...

    Whats new for 3d maglite?

The nite ize 74 lumen model arrived today and I put it in my old 3D. Not bad. Of course the light has nowhere near the warmth of the old bulb but it is brighter. More effective as a focused spot than in flood mode. Bright enough that I'm likely to reach for it over another one of my lights...

    Red map light: good idea?

I wasn't saying blue was a recommended nighttime light. I said it was for nighttime reading of maps because the color doesn't wash out markings (compared to red or other colors). Back when I got my SRT9, it had red, green, blue, and UV modes. I was well familiar with the uses of red and UV...

    Red map light: good idea?

Once upon a time I switched my car's map lights to red bulbs. I left it like that for years but really it wasn't a good idea. Reading maps or general purpose, it's just too hard to see details. Blue lights are recommended for nighttime reading of maps specifically, they don't impact your...
