Best Headband for mini maglite and xl200?

I have the Nite-ize and it seems to work pretty well. If I recall, it should accomodate both flashlights. It closes around the head with velcro, so you can adjust it to be as tight or loose as you like.

When is the mini maglite pro coming out?

That's not the newest version. The Cree XP-E version is rated at 163 meters beam distance.

    Maglite XL200

I haven't looked for a clip, but the Quark rubber hand grip fits the XL lights perfectly (with the ends pointed in). Makes the light really easy to hold, gives it an anti-roll feature when you set it down, and seems secure enough to attach a lanyard to. XL200 with Quark rubber handgrip

What is AA Smart Charger's secret for bad battery detection?

Same battery. So is the Duracell 2650. All Japanese-made Sanyo. And, all, from my experience, exhibiting high rates of failure -- straight from the charger into a camera where there are good for three shots. I've gotten to the point where I just don't trust them at all, because it's impossible...

Reccomendation please: A GOOD charger for low self discharege AA / AAAs

Actually, slow overnight charging is not ideal for NiMH rechargeables. With a good smart charger, probably somewhere in the range of 2 to 4 hour charging is optimum, although 1 hour charging is OK in pinch with a good smart charger, although I use 2 hour charging most of the time. I would...

    Maglite XL200

As far as I can tell, the XL200 isn't even widely available yet in the United States. Amazon only has one vendor with limited stock.

    Floody yes, tactical no

quark X series with the XM-L emitter. I just got the AA-2 version and the beam width is fantastic, both the hotspot and the size of the beam overall. I ordered a 2-CR123 version for the car. You can compare the beamshot photos of the new XM-L series to your current Quark at this link. It's...

    Maglite XL200

Well, in that case, I would start swapping the head, the battery holder, and the tailpiece, one at a time, from an XL50 until I figured out what was broken on your XL200. See if the new battery carrier works in one of the older lights. See if an older tailcap makes the new light work. And, so...

    Maglite XL200

I'm sure you've already tried this, but have you double and triple checked that you have the batteries in correctly? Two of them face one direction, the third faces the other. The NEG end of each battery must be installed against the spring end of a battery slot. The battery holder itself has...

Incoming - What do you have coming in the mail??

I have a 4Sevens Quark X 123-2 tactical on the way. I wanted something for the glove box with lithium batteries for the winter. Plus this clips in a head band with the Quark prism kit to make a fantastic high output flood light for changing a tire, etc. Because the prism makes it a 90 degree...

    Maglite XL200

Yeah. Once you get the hang of adjusting the brightness on the XL200, it sets the standard for how simple a user-interface should be. Just set it to whatever brightness you want, and the setting instantly becomes the default. Want a diffferent default? Just change it. No clicking thru brightness...

    Maglite XL200

Here's a link to a photo of the s mini holster from CPF Marketplace. It appears to be identical to the 4 Sevens holster, but without the velcro flap to lock the light in place. Can't see the back to know whether or not it has the D-ring for attaching a lanyard or clip...

    Maglite XL200

BTW, if ya'll are looking for a way to carry the XL200 (or XL50/XL100), the 4 Sevens Quark Turbo 123-2 holster fits it perfectly: http://www.4sevens.com/product_info.php?cPath=297_330_342&products_id=2279 For $8, you get a nice, simple nylon holster with elastic sides and a velcro flap to keep...

    Maglite XL200

Actually, it's even better than that. The user interface is fantastic. Plus it has the Cree XP-G LED, so it is a ton brighter than the other two lights and it has a little wider beam.

    Quark AA2 Tactical won't enter programming mode . . . ?

Here's a link to a photo of the AA2 Quark head with the gold ring around the outside edge visible. This is what breaks contact when you loosen the head to put the light into the alternate mode. This is the standard head, but I'm pretty sure the tactical works the same way...
