Hi, thank you for your translate description (I know about the possibility of google translation...but it is not really helpfull, not from russian to german or english...) I will try to remove the driver from one of my two pieces of this flashlight soon!
nice evening, Jens
very good question!! I removed the Bezelring and lens, but can`t remooved the reflector....
Maybe the Head consists of two parts..? but it seems to be glued, cant open it:-(
if we can change the driver, we could use one from KD with 2,5-3A for every LED, over 5000lumens should be no problem:-))...
ok, got the "Palight" Version this week, seems identical, the output is little higher, 2600 lumens but I think this is only the tolerance/variation
Jens
Sorry, I could measure only ca. 2350 lumen (ca. max 3W per LED), you can read it in my short review in the german forum (use the google translator, will translate it by myself later...)
Jens
Hi luminater, can you compare (ceiling bounce) with other 3x XML lights, SRK, DRY ....??
and can you measure the current from batteries??
I have also ordered a Palight last week an ask me, if there is a difference between the Palight and my Solarstorm...?
Hi, I wrote a short review about this new flashlight in the german messerforum. If I have more time in the next days, I will translate it and publish the informations here, but for the first you can look at the original post...
Yes, this is correct, got the information from Nitefighter directly....but I think, for the most part, this flashlight will be used without extension tube, so with one 18650 or two 16340 or 123 batteries, and this is possible without problems...
Jens
