Stainless steel LD01 won't turn on

Thanks for all the great tips guys :) I tried removing the spring and there's only a little bit of dirt at the bottom... I cleaned it out as best i could with a q-tip. It works somewhat better now... much easier to activate it although there's still the odd flicker. I think I'll need to do...

Stainless steel LD01 won't turn on

I purchased the limited edition Stainless Steel LD01 from 4Sevens last December. It's a lovely flashlight and I've been carrying it on my keyring. I don't use it often, but recently I've been using it a bit more. After working well for several months, it suddenly would not switch on. I tried...

Got my SL Stylus Pro & Microstream!

Thanks for the review. I'm not supposed to buy any more new lights but these are pretty tempting... How's the beam at close range (like 2-3 cm)? Any doughnut hole? Is it awkward to actually carry the 2AAA in the shirt pocket like a pen?

    Lost my baby today....

Sorry for your loss Zax. As a fellow Malaysian and flashaholic, I sympathize. I've personally lost a Fenix L1P (borrowed and never returned), Nuwai X3 (misplaced), and a Nuwai Q3 (whole holster broke off my belt apparently). On the (sorta) bright side, it's an excuse to buy newer brighter...

Newbie - What flashlight to buy?

Welcome to the Light, Aussiebuddha! As always, I recommend a Fenix L1D/L2D CE/Rebel. I personally have Fenix L1T, L1D CE, and L2D CE Q2 and love them all. I've also owned in the past a Fenix L1P, Nuwai Q3 and X-3 ( all lost :( ) Main advantages of the L1D/L2D (same head, different battery...

Fenix L2D-CE: OK to use Lithiums?

Absolutely ok, but the low-medium-high modes are all high for a while. Darn bright and long lasting. I got about 6 weeks of use out of them (I used it at work).

Do you like your Fenix variable switches?

I like it very much indeed. Very intuitive and no problems so far. I've been using Fenix since the L1P. Now I EDC an L1D CE Q2 and have an L2D CE and an L1T sitting around. L1P sadly was "borrowed" and never returned.

    The Brightest True Kechain Light...

+1 on Photon Freedom Micro. Quality and reliability are top notch. I've had one attached to my keychain for the past 3 years as a backup light. Battery lasts for ages.

L1D CE can I use old L2P bodies?

Sorry, threads don't match. You'll have to buy the L2D 2AA tube...

Lost my fenix p1d ce :(

Yep, that's true... a CR123 costs RM10 here (USD2.85; due to an unfavourable exchange rate, RM10 actually buys more here than USD2.85 in the US I think, say... price of a movie ticket) I do use the light a lot for machine inspections and such, so that Q3 I had was really costing me a lot to...

A blast from the past: Whatever happened to your Fenix L1P?

I got my L1P to replace my Q3 (which somehow fell off my belt, holster and all) from Litemania way back when. Loved the ability to produce so much light off a guilt-free rechargeable NiMH. I used the thing at work every day until one day, a visiting official borrowed it and never returned it...

Lost my fenix p1d ce :(

My sympathies zerog... As one who has lost a Nuwai Q3 and X3 as well as had an L1P stolen, I empathise too :( Anyways, we must have light, so I guess you could always get another P1DCE. I EDC an L1DCE now myself (can't afford the CR123s and unwiling to use rechargeable lithium).

    Fenix L2D-CE

Fenix L2D-CE with smooth and OP reflector

I have the regular L2D CE and I recently purchased the L2D CE Q2 special edition mostly for the OP reflector. The beam is definitely much much smoother and I would characterize the texture as light to medium. Throw may be affected somewhat since the hotspot intensity is reduced. To my eyes...
