    Dorcy 9 Volt LED

Is the only advantage of these lights run time? I admit that is a great advantage if you are hiking or back pack camping. Under most circumstances a single AA is smaller and more convenient, and has a decent low run time. Jerry

I always thought they were too expensive, but 2 for $3 is down my alley. That includes batteries. Jerry

    Dorcy 9 Volt LED

After reading your post I ordered a couple also. The brightness on low is about what my Fenix E01 is. That makes me doubt that it will run 100 hours on low, but I am testing it now. Thanks for the info. I think it will be usefus. I remember that a hiker was out for a month or longer using a...

    Fenix E01

When I joined CPF the ARC was the rage as a EDC. I always thought it was overpriced, but got 3 on sale. I still have one, but only use it to compare with minimum lumens of a light being tested for run time. I also got a couple of Fenix e01 lights. I bought a couple when they were with LD 01. I...

    CRELANT E3 Cree Flashlight

I find it difficult to believe that with the literally hundreds of lights that have passed through your hands no one has used or has an opinion on Crelant. What gives?? Jerry

    Olight i3e Black 90lm

This is the first AAA LED that is small enough to carry on my keychain. I don't like a lot of thngs on it. I may remove the coin cell light. The Olight is the smallest AAA light I have ecver owned. Time will tell if it is a good one. Jerry

    Single AAA LED lights.

I have found that I prefer for EDC a single mode light. I have given many to friends, the ladies at church, and nurses and Drs.where I go. Most are not interested in multiple mode lights and just want a light when going to their car from a building. I use an EDC for various jobs, but find...

Help deciding on Budget AAA EDC ?

For an EDC I prefer small, and accordingly prefer twistys to tail switches. If I had to select one considering cost it would be the Tank 007 e09. It has three modes and I have given about 20 without a failure to my knowledge. I have not had good luck with the Astrolux A01. If price was no...

Help me find a cheap flashlight that is robust... EBay??

I like a couple. If you want only 1 mode the Hugsby Xp 1 is a good one for about $5 on eBay. If you want 3 modes the Tank 007 e09 is one of my favorites. They are available on FT for $13.26 if you buy 1. https://www.fasttech.com/products/1601/10002363/1173305 There are somesingle modes there...

    AAA based lights

I suppose the OP has the lights by now, but am surprised no one, including me, mentioned the Hugsby XP2. On ebay they sell for less than $4.00 each when you buy 8. The XP1 is proobably the bese single mode 1-AAA for gifting. Jerry
