I had the same thing only with c9 bulbs all blue. Two black light incans in the ceiling light and a 2 lamp 24" t12 black light. Even when I had the christmas lights dimmed down it got hot enough in the room that I ran the ac in the winter.
The best part about black lights if you haven't...
That wasn't so much the point of this whole thread.
I do know that even with the low life that the bulb is rated for it will last forever.
I did talk to the guy I did the project for today and even with the pitiful amount of light that two 300watt bulbs put out he is happy with the amount...
What is really disappointing is the rated life of the bulbs. I went and got 300 watt bulbs and it looked like there were several filament supports. They are rated for 750 hours. The 150s were the same. The rating on the box said that it was .7 years rated life at average usage.
Convert to t8 if you don't want to replace the fixture. That is the simplest. If you want to replace the fixture get whatever you like for the price you want.n I would only do t5 if it was a whole lot of lights left on for long periods of time or you really like the idea of t5 and wanted that...
I was looking at some led outdoor lighting when I was at the electrical supply house today. All of the lights had at least one large up two 3 "leds". The size of them would have to be multiple leds on one chip covered by a large phosphor. Some had a couple of 3/8 to half inch round leds...
Well if that is dirrected at me, The 150 clears are what the place had. They are going in two separate porcelain lamp holders. The shed had 3 bay so one light in the middle of two bays.
I might go get some 300 frosted tomorrow though.
I know where to get them and I know the are still made. My electrical supply doesn't carry them. I know why they don't. No one is using them much anymore.
It is a bummer because there are still a need for them. There is absolutely no need to install any leds hid or fluorescent in a...
...and I couldn't get what I wanted.
I need to rewire a shed for my brother in law. I got to add some outlets so that he can plug in the block heaters on his tractors and a couple of lights so that he can see after dark. It doesn't need to be much for light. Just enough to not trip over...
We have one on my wife's side of the bed. It takes a medium base bulb. I have one of the sylvania 40 watt equivalent leds that was recalled in there and it dimms just fine.
You could convert it to an electronic 3 way. Most touch lamps are like that.
With electronics and house lighting where they are. The conventional three way bulb is obsolete. It can be done with electronics. Lamps are no longer the main source for most room lighting. (I know there are...
Well golly lets put some more carbide pellets in the gas plant after we take the model t down to the general store to get some more mantles. Although sears and roebuck might have a different variety of mantle that might put out a whiter light. I guess I could wait for them to arrive at the...
With as low as the roof it I don't see a much of a need for a reflector. It looks like it would benefit from a lot of fixtures everywhere. Once the the trucks have backed in you are going to loose most of your light on top of the truck (for any fixtures over the truck).
Just go to something with 4ft t8 bulbs and fill the place till you get the desired light. That would be the cheap and easy to obtain option. You don't want something that is a very bright concentration of light as it will make it worse at night if you catch a light in a mirror.
It looks like...
Looking at the fan I think you can get just those lights. Where I work has some that are very similar looking to that.
It looks like DiaLight makes the fixture. If they are like the ones I have seen at work the leds are around the perimeter of the lens and the electronics are in the...
