Looking for alternatives to Olight S35 / S65 BATON

The A6 Polestar is the old version of the S65 basically. Its a great light, but Id recommend looking for an XM-L emitter. Im pretty sure the A6 is discontinued and wont be using the latest rev bins of the emitters. (each emitter has various versions, each better than the last). Plus the XM-L...

I need a light for hunting

I dont think you get a red LED exactly, but put a red film over the output. The only actual RED led that I can think of is part of the MC-E emitter (the multicolored variety).

Need a light for ERT -

The nebo lights look bad from what I saw. Real blueish tint light, probably old emitters. There are tons of really overpriced lights that underperform at shops like Bass Pro and such. They are very much inferior to the recommendations you will find here. They sell because compared to...

Need a light, medium size, large lumens!

If budget is an issue, consider getting something from dealextreme, as they have free worldwide shipping. Search for "XM-L" and find one that has decent ratings. Check the budget forums here too. Shiningbeam has some 1x18650 lights for 40-50 bucks. Check out their P-Rocket for 45 bucks...

    Review ITP A3 EOS Titanium

The itp A3 has been replaced with the Olight i3. Olight was the parent company of itp, and the A1, A2 are similarly replaced with I1,I2s. The A6 polestar's closest cousin the baton S65 that uses 6xAAs.

    Good bikelight and focusable light

If you go to shiningbeam.com under manufacturer MG, you can see that they have some good throwers there for reasonably priced. You can get either the SST50 or the XM-L version...I dont see any big difference. Both use 1x18650. Throw to flood dont usually work very well and are limited to...

Looking for infinitely variable floodlight (no hotspot!)

Nope. What you are asking for is too specialized for anyone to manufacture. Just the infinite adjustment is surprisingly rare on flashlights with only a few choices. A flood to throw would work well, but there are no adjustable output ones to my knowledge.

    Looking For A New Light

Im afraid your post is a bit too rambling to really make any sense out of. I have yet to figure out exactly what kind of light you are looking for. Try telling us what you want to use the light for and what kind of batteries you want to use. Do you have any 18650/RCR123 type charger already...

    pure flood flashlight

Any flood to throw light will work as well. There are XM-L flood lights available, though the build quality is going to be so-so at best.

Need a light for ERT -

You know what? I would highly recommnend you look at reviews for the new MiniMag Pro. It produces 245 lumens out of 2 alkaline batteries with some beam correction (like all maglites have) by twisting. Its about 30 bucks or less and easy to find. Theres lots of great lights like jetbeam...

    Exterminator looking for...

Zebralights should be fine. Almost all modern flashlights that arent big-box models are regulated., and most are pretty tough (no moving parts other than the switch), and have some waterproofing. The zebralight is probably the most efficient right now, with 200 luemsn out of a single AA which...

    Looking for UV light

Ok, this is the deal. UV LED emitters are pretty crappy from a technology point of view. You've got: a) The 5mm ones. These are basically like the lame 5mm LEDS in the showerhead looking lights. Being UV, they are significantly less efficient. We are talking 20 millwatts of power each...

    lookig for a better thrower

The SR90/TK70 are about as good as it gets for LED lights. You really need MORE light than that? Are you planning to vaporize escapees? :-) The SR91 is a 1500 lumen light with a 6x18650 battery pack. The TK70 can hit 2200 lumens and does have very good throw. But even though its 50% more...

AA Flashlight (Rechargeable with charging dock)

I would say that this is a no-go. You either need to be ok with recharging your AAs in a normal charger (vs plugging something into the light itself), OR be ok with a battery pack that you won't be able to remove. In that case, you can find lights that have lithium ion battery packs in them...

searching for a Single Mode, single 18650, side switch xm-l

Keep in mind that many lights may have complex UI, but they either have memory or start out on high mode. So all you do is turn on the light, move it to HIGH mode. then from then on, use it as a 1 mode light. ON = high. You can read reviews and determine if the UI works this way or not. Many...
