Are these folks still shipping to the US? On the website it doesn't give any US shipping options.

    HM 65R - 3.6 vs 3.7 volts not working

The cells are protected (both Fenix & KeepPower 18650). I haven't tried unprotected cells. I heard back from Fenix and the light should run both cells so I'll check on getting a warranty inspection/repair.

    HM 65R - 3.6 vs 3.7 volts not working

Hi, I ordered a Fenix HM65R Headlamp in Nov 2021 which came with a Fenix 3400 mAh 18650 3.6 volt 12.24 Wh rechargeable Li-ion battery. Unfortunately, the light will not run my preferred KeepPower 3500 mAh 3.7 volt 12.95 Wh protected cells. It won't power up or show battery status. If I drain...

Service life - XTAR Dragon VP4 Plus

Thanks dragosios - that sounds about right. 4 hours per week @ 3.5 years is roughly 728 hours. As an update, I've ordered another MC3000 from Amazon (seller RotorLogic, listed as a US Dealer). If I receive a new unit (rather than used/open box as previously) I'll set it up for slower...

Service life - XTAR Dragon VP4 Plus

Friends, What's a reasonable expectation of service life for a medium/heavy use charger? My application is for protected 18650s (KeepPower). I charge 3 batteries 3-4 times per week. Specifically, I have an XTAR Dragon VP4 Plus that I've used since 11/2019. Recently I had a problem with one...

The definitive Malkoff Hound Dog Super thread

I tried to provide a link but currently the website is down. The company is Overready and the SKU is C5-OG-EXT70-IIIB (Custom 18650 Extender - Type III HA Black). I purchased an extension back in 2019 so the company may be out of business.

The definitive Malkoff Hound Dog Super thread

Friends, Thanks for all the advice. I used 220 grit sandpaper on the aluminum (lightly), acetone/q-tips on the brass and cleaned all threads. Then I used Trident diver's grease (100% silicon) and lightly lubricated the o-rings and threads. All is good now. ledbetter, yes we had a big storm...

The definitive Malkoff Hound Dog Super thread

After dealing with an extended power outage, I'm sticking with the 3 x 18650 configuration for extra run time. Also, any advice on cleaning the contacts behind the head? I've tried alcohol and simple green with q-tips but not much improvement:

The definitive Malkoff Hound Dog Super thread

I've been running my HD super for a while with 3 x 18650s and am thinking of going back to 2 x 18650s. Has anyone done pro/con testing? I'm just thinking the batteries might last a while longer with 2 along with the light being easier to pocket.

Thanks for the feedback. I charge 4-5 times per week generally from 70-80%. Perhaps I should discharge a bit further before recharging?

The definitive Malkoff Hound Dog Super thread

Anyone notice decreased cell life with the 3 x 18650 configuration? I've got about 200 charge cycles through mine with the following details: KeepPower 18650 3500ma Li-ion Protected Cell (purchased new in Nov 2019) XTAR DRAGON VP4 Plus Smart Charger, default settings almost nightly use...
