Heys Jake:)
Just a big thanks to you for modding 2 X HDS to the Nichia 219, and making the effort to deal with us in Sydney Oz! The tint on the nichia 219, with the body and interface of an HDS, is just perfection!
Thanks heaps mate!
The eagletac g25c2 is comparable to the klarus xt11. Both excellent choices for around $100. Eagletac has more options for diffusers and extenders, klarus has a great tactical ui.
Heys, sad to hear about your dad. I think one of the zebralight's will suit. They are either aa or cr123, more floody than throw and of high quality and durability! The ui is abit complex, but has some great modes. It's slightly over your budget, around $65 and up, but you can choose neutral...
I feel like the Klarus xt11 and the Eagletac g25c2 are a couple of standouts. Both have Cree XML U2 led with around 640 ANSI lumens. Both are LOP with a larger head for nice throw. I have both and personally give it to the eagletac for its accessories and marginally higher finish IMO. Having...
Agree that the V11r is very nice edc. It comes with the black rubber tail cap assembly as well as the metal version. Its got a nice deep removable carry clip for edc. The knurling on the selector ring is a big improvement over the V10r. Im a huge fan of moonlight mode for an edc, just thing you...
Have a look at the jetbeam rrt01, it has an infinitely adjustable output ring (not head) that you can dial really small for night vision all the way to max brightness on cr123 at about 220 lumens or on a rcr123 for 500 lumens.
Your led lenser p7 puts out around 200 lumens and Is about the same size as a 2 x cr123 or 1 x 18650 format. Most of the brand of lights in this format puts out 500 to 700 lumens. I'm not sure what waterproof rating the led lenser has, but I know it's not that good as the focusable head can't be...
Wow, great review and nice beamshot comparison! I cant wait for my logan cr123 to arrive to oz! I have the 2 x aaa eiger and I just love it. Ramping smooth and nice, tint just gorgeous. I use mine for up close work when I'm checking out the guts of my computer!
I know where you coming from, but the way I figure it, when I have "extra's" that dont fit my collection, I start giving them away to my extended family. I keep all my Titanium lights as I just reckon they look cool!
