Beta QR quick release V2
I just did that this morning and am also interested in the differences. I wasn't able to get in on the original Beta-QR so it's nice to have a chance to get in on it this time. Also, holy cow. $19,555 pledged of $1,000 goal- KVoimakas

No, I had an XML in it from the beginning. I'm addicted to POWER. The Alpha is my second brightest light based on pure lumen output but it's my all 'round favorite. The TIR optic makes for an interesting spot. I will try and get some pictures up when I can.- KVoimakas

So a long time ago (few years), I happened across darksucks and ended up with an Alpha, serial #15. Since I want another one or two (solid copper looks AWESOME), I peruse darksucks regularly. Should I purchase a Blue-label or a Ready-Made
I've had it turn on in my pocket before. I have the XML in mine and it definitely gets hot on high. I try to keep it set to low (memory!) when it's in a pocket just in case. I ended up throwing mine in a snowbank for quick cooling. No problems with the light. And to OP: get the Blue Label. I...- KVoimakas

How Do You Carry Your Alpha Light ?
During the winter I carry mine in my left pocket. When the motorcycle comes out, I carry it in my right side inner vest pocket. Tried to keep it from getting banged up too badly but one slip onto blacktop and it was marred up a little bit. Price of it not being a safe queen, right?- KVoimakas
