    Rayovac Indestructable?

Cool! Did they have any of the others at walmart? I'd like to hear what you think of it after using it for a few days, or nights! ;)

    Rayovac Indestructable?

Update- I've had my 2AA for about 10 months, and it's great. Its pretty much my go to light for most things. The switch is still solid, no rattles, works every time. I got a 3AAA headlamp sometime last spring, and I like that too. The low is maybe kind of bright for adjusted night vision around...

Why there are no lights like the Fenix TK20?

Sure it is,..but it's $15- vs. $60-. You would expect the TK20 to be much nicer! The Rayo is far and away the best cheap flashlight I've ever seen though.

Only the tailcap comes off. The head is glued on. Cheap enough to experiment with though!

    Quark AA pressure buildup?

Thanks Outdoorsman! I have some AA rechargables (Rayovac), and they are ok for cheapos I guess. I'm going to get a MAHA charger and some Eneloops ( When I went to buy them at Costco, they didn't carry them at that time, so I ended up with a Duracell branded Rayovac AA+AAA set with a charger. ) I...

    Quark AA pressure buildup?

I'm thinking of going the 14500 route. IIRC, Battery Junction also has 14505 non-rechargables. Same size, voltage, and power without all that pesky recharging!

Are you AA or CR123 powered?

    Quark AA pressure buildup?

I do have some Rayovac LSD Hybrids, but they only last about 1/2 as long as the Duras, and I keep my Energizer liths in my bail out bag, because of the great shelf life,.. but also because they are pricey, and don't last any longer in day to day use than good alkalines do.

Why there are no lights like the Fenix TK20?

It says 15 hours at 100 lumens, and 35 hours at 18 lumens. Not sure which Cree it uses, but smaller than the XP-G in my Quark AA.

Try the Rayovac Indestructable 2AA. About $15- at home depot. Not warm white, but very similar to my TK20!

    Quark AA pressure buildup?

WTF! I just went to use my EDC Quark AA, and the clicky was puffed out, and had a lot of resistance when I went to push it. I slowly loosened the head, and it made "pfffttt" noise as it released the pressure. I expected a leaky battery, but the Duracell advanced ultra I put in last week was...

A Collection of Threads in Support of the Jetbeam BA20...

Pelican lights brought me to this forum! I had 2 3 C cell Saberlights for work, and Pelican came out with a 2AA. In my search for it, I found CPF, and it steered me to better value lights for about the same money. I have 2 Quarks, a Fenix, and a Nitecore, and my next purchases will be Jetbeam...

    2002 Duracell Allkys

My AA's say "Made in USA", Bethel CT., and have the tester strip.

    2002 Duracell Allkys

Chris, I also have some C cells from that era out in a toolbox in the garage I carried as spares for a 4C lazer level for carpentry. I'll have to dig those out and check them. I live in Jersey, so, just like the AA's that were in the garaged bike light, they lived many years in very cold...

    2002 Duracell Allkys

We keep them for good reasons! I don't have a voltage meter. I came across that light and figured I'd put Energizer L91 liths in it, for long shelflife, and keep it in my girlfriend's car as a breakdown light. I would NEVER expect the new Duras too be up to the task. She got a little snowglobe...
