    First off, if you're looking at a DX SST-50, I suggest the UF-1500 not the UF-1500L. At least on my examples, the 1500 is much brighter, and the emitter is centred much better.     EDC with variable speed strobe?

    The Akoray K-106 has this feature in its programming menu. The caveat is that you can only program three different modes, giving you three different strobe frequencies that can be used at a time. Just curious what type of job requires a variable strobe?

    Ouch! I feel your pain... I lost my D10 R2 about a month ago, and up until then it had served as my faithful EDC and was my favourite light of the bunch. I don't know if you'd consider the older Q5 version, but I believe 4Sevens.ca still has some in stock. :thumbsup: Good luck!
