    DSWOI P7 from amilite experiences?

In case anyone wants to buy just one Britelumens has a limited stock of the DSWOI P7's for $30 a piece. Price-wise Amilite is better if you want more than one.

Desperatly looking for driver (updated kennan driver?)

I recently got a few of the updated Kennan boards and am having trouble connecting to it. I followed the second diagram from MikePL's directions for (+) and (-) (which agrees with Jerry from KD). However my flashlight won't light up and I can't get any reading when disconnected on my multimeter...

    AMC7135 Specs Inside **UPDATE**

Re: AMC7135 Specs Inside I completely agree. Efficiency and regulation occur in two separate parts of the voltage curve, with only a small overlapping area. If you want efficiency greater than 90%, then you have to stay below 4.2V. If you want, regulation you need to stay above 4V. This...

    AMC7135 Specs Inside **UPDATE**

Re: AMC7135 Specs Inside I've been thinking about using these boards in a single li-ion powered light but am concerned with the loss drop in output current after the voltage drops below 4 volts. The reason I like these boards is that the efficiency of the boards is above 90% for most of the...

Single SSC P4 powered by 4xAAs -- what driver?

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.3256 Slightly higher current that you were looking for, ~800ma, but it has the advantage of accepting different battery configurations for longer rides. The main downside that I see is the relative inefficiency compared to drivers from task led. But...

    Figuring runtime

As Tom has pointed out runtime tests can be constructed to reflect the conditions under which the flashlight will be used. By far the most common method though is a continous runtime test from a fresh but rested pair of rechargable cells of the type you can expect to typically use in that...

Desperatly looking for driver (updated kennan driver?)

I'm sorry but the workings of this board is beyond me. Does anyone know what resistor could be used to replace the supplied 0.2ohm one that would produce 350mA?

    which driver for 4xD alkaline?

I put together a 4D mag with this board this past weekend using a ssc p4. The emitter was running at 3.55V and ~1A which was a bit higher than I expected.

    Automobile emergency kit requirements requested

I know this is moving in a different direction but I was wondering how much light you will be needing. A small keychain light may be sufficient for finding your way around. These use small lithium coin batteries which can be stored for longer periods of time and are really cheap. If you want...

Re: Coming Soon, low cost, high current 6AA>2D and 9AA>3D adapters. Great concept. I'm interested in 2 of the 6AA kits in a series setup

    Forward clicky + multi-mode EDC at 150+lm?

If you don't mind a little modding, this is a relatively simple project. Cheap, simple, and uses a single AA. Another member mentioned putting in a Q5 star instead of a SSC emitter if you'd prefer the Cree. For the price you can get multiple ones in case you lose it.

Best runtime, cheap(sub $20)AA single mode?

Gerber Infinity Ultra, or an older CMG Infinity would give you decent runtime for less than $20 on a single AA
