Lupine Piko X Duo: Any real world experiences/reviews?

My friend is a wildlife biologist doing research on Amur Tigers and Leopards. He knows of my budding love of LED lighting. His friend, Tobias Herfurth, works for Lupine. They make some sick lights. Drooling over the Betty R 12 set.

Your Highest Lumen Flashlights,*including video* of Lambda VPT3 SBT90 MB flux bin

Re: Your Highest Lumen Flashlights Including One Stop Throw TN31 I just received my modified TN31 from OneStopThowShop yesterday. It is pretty spectacular. Definitely worth the money and the wait. Great work and awesome customer service. But my highest lumen title in my collectiongoes to...

Which flashlight has the longest range?

I initially assumed you were interested in LED lights, but for now, HID lights will win. I'm not into HIDs unless they are 1000w garden lights, but I found this light called the Magnalight Dual Mode HID flashlight/diving light. It can operate at 35w and 50w and can be handheld (comes with...

Which flashlight has the longest range?

I cannot wait for my modified TN31 to arrive. When it does get here, and I get my friend to help me take some photos, I'll be posting beam shots of the SR95 Intimidator, the SR95UT, and the modified TN31. There is no question that the SR95UT out throws the SR95 despite having %50 less lumens...

    Dedicated throwers

Perhaps someone who can afford to spend over $100 on a flashlight on "faith" alone is very bright. So bright, they have become financially successful to the point where they can buy $100+ lights all day long and never even think twice about it. I'm not saying I'm one of those people, but I can...

    Dedicated throwers

Sorry for going off the topic of the moment, but my standard SR95UT just performed beautifully and gave me my first clear view of one of the Mountain Lions that lives on the mountain behind my property. He was exactly where I expected him to be based on previous scouting in the area. I don't...

    Best build quality and warranty

I know one was an E2E Executive Elite. Maybe two of those failed. The third was a longer light with a strike bezel.. .I'd have to look at pics to tell you the ones that went bust. Maybe I was just unlucky. I've also had an Olight SR95 Indimidator arrive DOA and had a Niteye EYE-30 fail a...

    Best build quality and warranty

I've had a few Surefire lights, and they have all failed. This was years ago, but I had three different lights that were pretty expensive (all over 100 USD) and they all failed in short order. Like I said, this was about a decade ago. Maybe all their lights are awesome now, but mine were...

Good purpose for owning a light?

I also plan to get involved with Search and Rescue stuff in my area of Montana. If I can't be directly involved, I can loan equipment to friends of mine who are First Responders, guides, firefighters, biologists doing field work, etc.

    Dedicated throwers

Finally after much frustration and three calls into Paypal's help center, I was able to order the TN31 from saabluster!

    Dedicated throwers

I'm ordering one too. I want to see if this really blows the SR95UT out of the water. I find that hard to believe, but I'll be finding out a few weeks after I place my order! This stuff is so addictive.

Good purpose for owning a light?

I live in Western Montana in a very active wildlife corridor that connects The Rattlesnake Wilderness Area to the Bitterroot Valley. I often have to go out to do various farm tasks in the dark. I use my thrower, SR95UT, to scan the mountain and river bottom for large predators, then use my...

looking for a big throw light

If you are looking for an HID, Magnalight makes a dual mode 35/55w HID light called the HIDH-3550. They claim it throws a 7,000 foot (2,133.6m) beam in the high setting and puts out 4,700 lumen. I'm not into HID lights, and the price tag on this thing is about $2,500.00 USD.

looking for a big throw light

I'm really pleased with the performance of the Olight SR95UT (SBT-90), and the SR95 Intimidator (SST-90). If I had to choose one, I'd go with the SR95UT. As someone who is new to high performance flashlights, these things are really stunning. The beam on the UT version is very focused and...

    Niteye EYE-30 (3 x XM-L | 2/4 18650) Review

Thank you! I can't wait to see how it performs. I know there will be a lot of flood, but that is fine with me as long as the reach is close to what they claim (420m)!
