Re: Solarforce hosts --are they really quality?
L2i is no longer available anyway. You will have a tough time finding a new one. Just get the 2011 L2, great host.
I have four SK-68s. They are great little lights. They do get warm with AA, but as said above with 14500s they get downright hot! But also MUCH brighter. I did a little torture test with two of them last night. Popped a freshly charged 14500 into each one and let them tailstand until the...
I don't know anything about the other 2 lights, but the SK-68 is a great format. I have 2, and have 2 more on order. They are rugged, functional, handy, bright little lights for the price. Good all around light with the flood or zoom option. I have more much expensive "budget" lights (solarforce...
There is a US Ebay seller "CampingSurvivals" that sells the Sipik SK-68 clones for less than $9 shipped. I ordered one 1/12 and it shipped 1/13, I should have it 1/15. I already have one from china via eBay seller TomTop. They are great little lights.
Re: Solarforce hosts --are they really quality?
Solarforce hosts are quality hosts, especially for the money you are paying. My L2P did the same thing with my XML drop-in. It is NOT the switch. Add a magnet or gently (very) stretch your tailcap spring. Magnet is the better choice though. The...
Can you give us more info as to the exact model of light you have? Ultrafire XML T6 could be a hundred different flashlights. Ultrafire describes the brand, XML describes the LED emitter, and T6 describes the brightness bin for the XML emitter.
It looks like on glock talk you said you have...
Sipik SK-68 clone. Can be used with AA or 14500. Bright with AA, very bright with 14500. Tailstands, nice flood pattern, and throws pretty well for its size when zoomed. Built really well with thick metal and feels nice for this price. For $6.16 shipped I cannot complain.
Also agree. Got one on ebay and its a really nicely made light ( I paid $6.16 shipped). With a fresh AA it pulls 1.3A at the tailcap. With a trustfire protected flame 14500 it pulls 1.85A at the tailcap, very bright for a $6 light. The entire reason I bought this was to have a cheap, small...
I have the same light, it was the first LED flashlight i bought that had a Cree LED. Great flashlight, fairly bright and has a nice beam pattern. I like that it uses 1 x CR123 or 2xAA. I have been using AAs in it recently since they are available at work where I use this light the most.
Re: CE Tech AAA Flashlight from Home Depot
The flashlights look decent but headlamps @ 10 lumens? Wow.
Cool that it included all the AAA batteries, are they heavy duty or alkaline?
I have ordered two of these on eBay for $8.38 shipped each without the battery or charger. I believe it is the exact same headlamp though. They haven't arrived yet, should be here any day. Ebay item # 250779304687
