Shootouts don't really have a cost; many of the lights are owned, and/or borrowed from the vendors. The trick is getting the people to a nice dark location. I been in LV the last 10 days, and it is cold... 30's with wind chill so not very good conditions for a shootout.

This will be my 9th show, and In my mind, the people and members of CPF is the reason I attend.
Sure it's nice to see the latest and greatest, but eventually they become available online or at the local bm. The fun is putting a face to a a person you have discussing and sharing...
the bulb is not your problem. you indicated that it works once it is heated up.
the problem is getting it to start up when it is cold. your problem is insufficient volatge from the ballast (when cold) to create a big enough "spark/arc" .

According to the distributor, only enough inventory has been shipped for 2400-2500 stores; that leaves over 1000 stores that will not be stocking the lights in the immediate future.
As Walmart is a network of regional shipping centers...
