    Night Breaker Laser HID

Thanks, Virgil. Either type is ~$130/pair at PowerBulbs, but you linked Amazon. I thought Amazon was sketchy (counterfeits) and PowerBulbs was the default recommended vendor around here. Has that changed?

    Night Breaker Laser HID

Re: OSRAM Night Breaker Laser Xenarc HID I also couldn't find anything on CPF about these OSRAM Night Breaker Laser Xenarc D2S +200% capsules. Are they that new? I'm in the market to replace my D2S bulbs and stumbled across them at...

    1156 LED replacement?

BEWARE! I can tell you from personal experience, I swapped out the 1156 bulbs for 796 bulbs as DRLs and they melted the sockets to the point of needing replacement. I would not suggest using 796 bulbs in applications where they will be active for extended periods of time.

Rear foglight - OK to be on same switch as forward foglights?

The NA Mitsubishi Outlander has the same 'dummy' rear fog light assembly. Owners wanting a functional rear fog light purchase the OE socket and turn signal stalk (with the rear fog switch) from Mitsubishi and wire it up like OE. I'd reach out to the BRZ forums. In response to the concern of...

    About Duplicolor Metalcast Yellow ? ? ?

Oh well, it was worth a shot! At least my fog light lenses are glass, so there's no worry about scraping off UV protectant when I strip/reapply the paint in the future.

    About Duplicolor Metalcast Yellow ? ? ?

So to confirm, the yellow 'bubbles' are only available for H4 bulbs? I'm looking for a solution for H11 bulbs that doesn't involve painting.

    About Duplicolor Metalcast Yellow ? ? ?

Would painting the bulbs be a bad idea? Wouldn't this avoid road damage and the need to strip and reapply?

Fake Philips HID bulbs very common now, in fact on the internet most are Counterfeits

Why would Philips manufacture halogen>xenon retrofit kits and pitch them to the public as safety improvements? I didn't find the typical (albeit, nonsense) “for off-road use only" disclaimer either. This goes well beyond the slimy, misleading marketing tactics of their 'tuner' crystalvision...

Fake Philips HID bulbs very common now, in fact on the internet most are Counterfeits

Or, as I did, you can navigate to lighting.philips.com and select Australia. Simple!

It's definitely the Philips Australia site -- lighting.philips.com.au...

Fake Philips HID bulbs very common now, in fact on the internet most are Counterfeits

Wow. It's been repeated here many times that these kits aren't legitimate because Philips (among other major brands) doesn't manufacturer illegal kits... but that link is pretty definitive. "Directly interchangeable with the existing halogen headlighting solution." I look forward to reading...

Fake Philips HID bulbs very common now, in fact on the internet most are Counterfeits

OK, gotta ask. Your very first post of this thread is nearly identical to the statement at the bottom of http://hidbulbzrus.com/HID_Legitimacy.html. Is this your site or were you just passing along this info? I ask because the site claims to sell authentic HID bulbs for ~70/pair. Above, you...

Why are the Rules so Hard To Find? (rear fogs today)

But doesn't a pair of bright red lights, seemingly as bright as brake lights, housed in the same cluster that includes the brake lights, reduce the conspicuity of the brake lights? We all know how often drivers misuse their front fog lights, but IMO, misuse of rear fog lights is far more...

Why are the Rules so Hard To Find? (rear fogs today)

What about the new Land Rover I saw yesterday with TWO rear fog lights illuminated? I'm sure they were fog lights because her running lights were already on when she turned the fogs on. They were as bright as the brake lights above them, which really made it confusing to know when she was...

How does a HID light lose 90% of it's power?

Ricky, most of your concepts have been answered in previous threads. Please search the forum FIRST before making the Mods repeat themselves endlessly. Doesn't mean anything -- As they say, ignorance is bliss. And furthermore, do you really think that a company selling illegal headlights would...
