    Lemme just throw this out there, the TSA allows laptops and tablets on board and your standard laptop battery pack is about 4-12 18650s so I think bringing a couple for your light won't be a problem.

    Well I would be running them in series for simplicity sake and for now I was just going to use a cardboard sleeve and eventually get something machines out of Delrin. The thing I need help with is choosing a driver or drop in that will run off the ~11V.
