    thanks for the update on the checklist. it is helpful and funny to read at times, especially wanting to illuminate your neighbors front yard several houses down with the 300-700 lumens.

    Do you prefer a rear clicky or a top mounted/forward clicky?

    i have rear clicky lights but all my dad's lights have top clicky lights. i prefer rear because i don't have to search or feel for the button; I know where it is at. however, the top mounted clicky lights don't roll around when you set them down.

    First time EDC purchase...

    i had the same question and the jump from E01 to E05 is losing runtime but gaining a wider white beam. The E05 is smaller too. I'm not sue about the leatherman but the LD01 is larger than the E05 and it has a larger throw.
