I'm going to have to say my Quark AA2 (non "tactical" switch).
It's got pretty much everything I want:
o A great close range full beam
o A brilliant and easily, directly and safely accessible moonlight mode that lasts for weeks
o Easy to find batteries
o Slim enough to EDC in trouser pockets...
Going to bump a >5yr old thread to ask... Does the MT40 tailcap fit on the BC40? I'm asking because my BC40 tailcap is faulty.
The metal switch retaining ring was fully jammed in, overtightened so it was impossible to get the switch replaced so now I need a whole new tailcap complete with...
I think another thing that got me interested in the idea is a car accident about 4 months ago on a 60mph VERY winding, dangerous road. I came round the corner to find a large lorry had crashed in to another vehicle and because I know the road well I drive it much slower than 60mph but I was...
To me it's an extra step towards being noticed in an emergency over just a standard strobe. Unless you're driving with it flashing out the windscreen I doubt there would be a legal issue with its usage.
Besides the point it's a very interesting feature and I like flashlights with interesting...
Thanks for the suggestion, agree that the switch seems like a good idea for instant access to different modes. The main negative of the T Max over the D25LC2 is the fact the D25LC2 red, blue and green is intensely bright and the T Max looks to be just coloured standard LEDs in the surrounding...
Sorry to bump an almost 4yr old thread but can anyone think of any blue and red strobe flashlights that can rival the EagleTac D25LC2 color? I got my EagleTac color (and love it!) but find it a mega faff to access the strobe modes. Any recommendations? :)
I agree there's a requirement for a 21st Century Photon ReX! :D
The current UC02 is connected to the zip with a Niteize s-biner. It's also rattling off the car door so it can't be metal. Basically a rechargeable photon would be perfect.
I got my nitecore tini, it will have similar issues but...
Hi All, I know there's a form that we're meant to fill in but this is quite a general enquiry/recommendation request.
I'm looking for a small, plastic, USB rechargeable light that is small enough to go on a zipper pull and strong enough to withstand being used to pull the zip.
I am...
Hello there, didn't even know the S1R had a keyring hole which would have made it a bit better, it's about 13mm larger but as you said it's not a major difference. Thought process was more along the lines of - I lost my EDC, new one required but fed up looking all over the place and being too...
What do you think of the Olight gentle transitions?
I think I'm too impatient to have it fade between modes, I end up pressing it again because I think it's not registered my first click because it's fading.
Can it be switched off?
Guess what arrived today! :)
Looks like a nice little light. I really wish though that they'd put a little keyring hole on the body rather than having that whole clip on it.
Apart from that it seems great. Glad I didn't pay the full £70 though! :)
I have been spoilt by my TM15, TM26 and HC50 because they all have a built-in voltmeter of some sorts. The TM15 flashes the LED around the power button in the format: FLASH – FLASH – FLASH – FLASH – PAUSE – FLASH – this would indicate 4.1v (four flashes, a pause, a further one flash).
The HC50...
Ah, mine was actually brass but I guess copper suffers the same smell issues. It's one of these guys (ebay link: https://goo.gl/iAsZim)
I could do with mixing my collection up a bit, it's pretty much 98% black torches with a few exceptions.
Lol I was worried that a "raw copper" one would be a hand stinker!!
I have one of these little guys (with the trit locators! :D) and for the 5 seconds I touched it to take that photo my fingers smell like I've been swimming in a sea of pennies like Scrooge McDuck lol! :D
