    Reliable flashlight brands

Hi @Vemice Thanks for your suggestion. I think twisties may be one of the types to less failures as I have just realised those that failed are all electronic clickies. Do you know what runtimes and lumens I can expect from El Capitan? I can't seem to find a straight answer to this. JJ

    Reliable flashlight brands

I had in the past tried to get a Tiara A1 Pro locally but they are always out of stock. Are Armytek's built reliable? JJ

    Reliable flashlight brands

Hi all, I have a few flashlights failing me recently after drops due to my little boy becoming more active around the house. Most of these flashlights were advertised as 1m drop proof. So this really sets me thinking which are the really reliable quality builts to have especially for...

What type of batteries can be left in car under direct sunlight?

Thanks. I've been hearing of lithium battery powered devices catching fire while charging. So am quite surprised when you recommended lithium cells. The power station I am interested in will have at least 20 pieces of 18650s. Will this be a problem? My biggest concern is fire. I don't think car...

Anybody leave li ions in car during summer?

Hey guys! Sorry for digging up this super old thread! Was there ever a conclusion/confirmation whether batteries can be kept inside a hot car? I actually started another thread here and then found this thread. I'm in a situation where I want to permanently leave a portable power (similar to...

What type of batteries can be left in car under direct sunlight?

Hi folks! With all your knowlege on emergency backups, circuits and batteries, I hope to find an answer here. I've been trying to have some sort of portable power supply (similar to photo insert) permanently stored in my car for powering equipment such as AC fan, etc... for spontaneous acts...

Recommend me a right angled flashlight for bug out kit

Hi, Which ZL AA would you recommend? I noticed most of the AA models are quite dated and not sure which is the latest of them. And which of the AA takes 14500 as well? JJ

Recommend me a right angled flashlight for bug out kit

Thanks for recommendation. The high on AA lithium is kind of low. Does AA lithium = 14500?

Recommend me a right angled flashlight for bug out kit

I'd checked out he E03 but I heard quite negative reviews about its reliability. I have a bunch of AAs in my kit, so they will not fit into the E02. But thanks for your recommendations.

Recommend me a right angled flashlight for bug out kit

Hey guys! I'm building bug out kits for my family of 3. Thinking of keeping right angled flashlights into each of the bags so they can be clipped onto bag straps. I have a few criteria, not sure whether there is any match in the current market: Absolute needs - Replaceable single AA / 14500...

Explain to me electronic switch and parasitic drains

Hi Chris, I'm actually asking in preparation of buying a new single AA light. The reason I'm asking is because much of these newer designs are side switches (I hate them btw, easy to accidentally turn on and need to 'feel' in the dark). I narrowed down to Klarus Mi7 but read that it drains...

Explain to me electronic switch and parasitic drains

How do I tell if a flashlight i see online have regular switch? Basically I don't like battery power to be consumed when I'm not using it.

Explain to me electronic switch and parasitic drains

How do i tell electronic switch from normal? For eg, i have a nitecore d10, which drains my batt dry in weeks. My other eagletac d25a doesn't seem to drain my battery as it remains quite bright even after months, seems to be same for manker e11. I'm thinking of getting a klarus mi7 but read it...
