I have been experiencing lately flat top batteries failing. The top (+) end of the batteries may be dented slightly inward causing a loss of contact.
This being due to the flashlight being dropped to the ground.
Malkoffs are great!
I was in the same boat as you so I tried the Dereelight CLH2, it has an odd way to change levels.
Then I tried the Zebralight SC30 and everything is great except it turns on too easy and it's not supposed to be run on high very long according to them. Their headlamp is my favorite so far...
One kit please, a wonderful way to get my two D M@g back in service.

It's still quite easy to operate even w/ a 1/2" I.D. o-ring siliconed over the button to prevent 100% accidental activation, for a week so far.:thumbsup:
