Re: Stainless Gatlight V2 and Lionheart Gatlight is sold. The Lionheart is bare aluminum and was one of the first ones made. It is a v1. There are upgrade options available if one wishes, but the light is fine the way it is in my opinion. I changed the topic heading to reflect the lionheart...- Spudman

Buck, the Mag light of pocket knives?
420 is not my choice of steels either. Mr. Bos does not do the heat treat on all Bucks. I know he has done some of Buck's blades in S30V, ATS-34, and BG-42. Buck also sells blades in these steels, I think, that are not Bos treated. Cabela's has a line of S30V knives. I'm not sure if they...- Spudman

I would have to disagree. In my experience the better Bucks hold an edge as well as any good knife with the same steel. Paul Bos does the heat treating on these knives and is well regarded for his expertise. Even the non-Bos Buck's I own hold an edge well. I am not referring to the China...- Spudman

I agree. The twistie is not difficult to turn off and on, but the same cannot be said of changing the brightness levels. I would concentrate on making brightness levels on the fly before worrying about a clickie.- Spudman
