    6XML light bar

Evidently, it's more difficult (and costly) machining the piece that way. He says they work quite well as they are, even at low speeds.

    LED headlight/fog-light accents on a 2004 Ford F-150

I don't know how bright those strips are in person, but how about under the bed rails as cargo lights? That's assuming you don't have one of those plastic bed liners in the way...

    Dual XM-L's on a 20mm star possible ?

Let me see if I've got this right... When they're turned on independently, they run at 3A, but when they're both lit, they get 1.5A each? That's probably a good idea to keep from having to adjust the camera quite so much if you switch between the 3 tints a lot, but how do you keep them...

    Need help finding XPG/XPG2 optic

I will measure my Jet-I Pro's reflector tomorrow and let you know if it's the right diameter. If so, B.O.G. still sells replacement reflectors for the Jet-I/RRT-0 that may help you out. I haven't tried an XP-G behind said reflectors, though. Edit: Bad news, Jet-I reflector measures 20mm wide...

    Dual XM-L's on a 20mm star possible ?

Pictures or it didn't happen! Sounds interesting, though.

Grounding Drivers in the Back of Drop-ins

I'm going to have to try that second method, too. Great idea. Can't wait to see other suggestions on this since I, too, use the "ugly" method... :( Keep 'em coming, folks!

    V11r issues

Also, if you end up with LiFePO4 (3.0V) cells, do not charge them to 4.2V, like the OP did/does... :poof:

2 related issues: Do you add salt to food?// Whats up with airsoft?

These two topics can be more closely related than you might think... http://youtu.be/-oYl-Lm9a6U As for me, I don't add salt to anything. I like salt, but I don't bother putting any on my food. Having said that, I think it's better to cook most foods without salt, and adding to it after it's...

    First Mag Build - Aspheric 2D XR-E

I agree with PCC, aspherics have one purpose, and that purpose is not within 100 feet of you... Also, I kinda like the driver being on top of the heatsink. It's not something I see everyday. :twothumbs:

Which model you want to see upgrade to XP-G2?

I think any small single-cell 123/AA/AAA EDC would benefit from XP-G2 over XML, because the narrower viewing angle should produce more spill than XP-G, but still have a small enough die for the reflector-to-LED ratio to give somewhat decent throw versus an XM-L in the same light. So in a...

    Solarforce M3 Announced (XM-L U2)

Thanks for posting that, LilKevin, I was sitting here thinking what it would look like with an XP-G or -E, or 219... I guess the sky's the limit since it is but a P60. :twothumbs I don't know if it was on purpose or not, but I LOL'd at "highbred."

    What's the appeal of a p60 setup?

You may have stepped onto a slippery slope... We'll see how many P60s you own this time next year... :D

    What's the appeal of a p60 setup?

P60 hosts are easy to upgrade/adapt. If you have to have the latest and greatest, or need a different light for a different task from time to time, it's quite simple just to swap out drop-ins and go. Also, if you like to mod or make your own pills, etc., it gives you an easy way to do so with...

Looking for an inexpensive long-throw light

Let us not forget the SolarForce Masterpiece Pro 1! Sure, it doesn't have one of those fancy new XM-L emitters, but sometimes that's not a bad thing...

    6XML light bar

Would the cooling fins work better if they were running from front to back instead of side to side? It seems like they way they are now, the airflow wouldn't go down between them very well.
